Abstract: A coupling apparatus configured to provide a quick and efficient technique to operably connect bamboo poles or similar structural members. The present invention includes a first portion and a second portion that are operably integrated to provide coupling of structural members. The first portion includes a first section and a second section wherein the first section is insertable into the second section and is configured to be releasably secured therein. The first section includes grooves that are configured to operable coupled with a locking member located in the second section. Within the scope of the present invention alternate embodiments of the grooves and first section are contemplated. The second portion includes two embodiments wherein the two embodiments are configured to provide alternate orientations of coupling of bamboo poles. The second portion is configured to provide both an end-to-end connection as well as an angular orientation of bamboo poles.

Abstract: A fastener for a belt or strap that is configured to be operable with a single hand wherein the fastener includes a body having a first portion and a second portion. The body of the fastener is movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position the first portion and second portion are compressed against each other. In the second position the second portion is moved away from the first portion to create a void therebetween of suitable width to journal a portion of a strap or belt therethrough. A first arm member is secured between the first portion and second portion and is arcuate in shape. A second arm member, arcuate in shape, is secured between the first portion and second portion of the body. A gripping member is present on the first portion of the body.

Abstract: Trans-activating transcription (TAT) factor peptide oligomers coupled with functional agents can selectively complex to the anionic surface of cancerous cells. The TAT conjugates can be delivered to the locus of the tumors using intra-arterial injection during transient blood flow arrest.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for forming a textured polymeric film are disclosed. The apparatus includes a first roller and a second roller, wherein the first roller and the second roller may be configured to cooperatively form the textured polymeric film. In one embodiment, a limited portion of at least the first roller is heated, passively, actively, or by a combination of active and passive techniques.

Abstract: This invention disclosed herein provides methods, devices, software products, and systems for infusing a fluid into a blood vessel is provided that includes the step of administering the fluid into the blood vessel in programmed pulses. The programmed pulses generally defined by programmed pulse variables that include a fluid flow rate, a frequency, and a duration. Values of the programmed pulse variables may be determined based at least in part on a fluid property of the fluid to be infused that is relevant to streaming, blood flow in the blood vessel to be infused, a catheter size, or a patient profile.
