  • Publication number: 20240104043
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a module which can be inserted into or removed from a computing device by a user. The module includes an input-output port which is configured for a desired specification, such as USB-A, USB-C, Thunderbolt, DisplayPort or HDMI. The port can be provided on an expansion card such as an M.2 card for communicating with a host platform. The host platform can communicate with different types of modules in a standardized way so that complexity and costs are reduced. In another aspect, with a dual port module, the host platform can concurrently send/receive power through one port and send/receive data from the other port.

  • Publication number: 20150358359
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to systems and methods for integration and normalization of physical security data, states and events to and from disparate physical security systems to maintain in real-time rules based policy state information to enforce physical security policies uniformly across network and information technology (IT) systems. Moreover it pertains specifically to such apparatus for providing an integration platform, methods and processes for normalizing data from physical security systems, to maintain physical security states, mapping to network access and either directly affecting the network equipment through standard programming commands or providing interfaces for network equipment and IT applications to query and determine physical security access states thus enforcing rules in real-time based on security systems data and events.

  • Patent number: 8234704
Abstract: Embodiments disclose a system and method for the integration of data and events to and from physical access control and security monitoring systems that is normalized to standardized definition for enforcement of standardized rules, created through a visual policy editor, affecting persistence, propagation of data and generation of alerts and notifications for physical security, network and IT systems. Data from disparate physical security systems is normalized for visual rule creation by rule object shapes representing normalized security systems, data and processes. A rules-based policy engine enforces security policies and generates actionable events. The overall system provides an integration platform, methods and processes for normalizing data from physical security systems, representation of physical security systems, data and processes for visual creation of rules using defined stencil objects, generating formatted rules, and enforcing these rules in real-time on security systems data and events.

  • Publication number: 20080051445
Abstract: The current invention presents enoyl-ACP reductase, an enzyme of the type II fatty acid synthesis pathway as a target for treating human malarias and other infectious diseases. We also present in the current invention, 2-thioxothiazolidin-4-ones as antimicrobial and antimalarial agents. We provide 2-thioxothiazolidin-4-ones as antimicrobial and antimalarial agents either alone or in combination with other known antimicrobial and antimalarial agents with or without added adjuvants or diluents or carriers.

  • Patent number: 7313592
Abstract: The present invention provides a system in which a user can login to a World Wide Web server's (Web) application page and get help on the features assigned to an instrument such as a telephone or a service such as a voicemail system that is a configurable asset specifically assigned to that user. The on-line help is preferably kept in text and/or multimedia format on a server. The entity or that is displaying the help information is preferably a different entity than the service provider device that is providing the functionality or service to the asset. A synchronization process occurs so that thew server providing the Web-based help has a database of features assigned to the user as well as other information about the user.
