  • Patent number: 9802512
Abstract: A vehicle seating assembly is provided which includes a seat back and a seat base operably connected to the seat back. The seat base has a seat base frame that includes a torsion tube extending laterally between at least two side members. A height adjustment mechanism is disposed through at least one of the side members. A torsion spring extends within the torsion tube and is in contact with at least two side members. A torsion spring bushing is positioned around the torsion spring and extends into the torsion tube. The torsion spring bushing defines a brush configured to contact the torsion tube and a retaining ring positioned around the torsion tube. The retaining ring is in contact with at least one side member.

  • Publication number: 20150313542
Abstract: A wearable article includes a flexible band comprising one or more band segments; one or more biosensors located in the flexible band; one or more processing units located in the flexible band; and at least one connecting mechanism configured to connect at least one end of the flexible band to a housing of a watch face. A method of monitoring a physiological state of a wearer via a flexible band connected to a watch face housing worn at the wearer's wrist includes: receiving, at one or more processing units located in the flexible band, sensor data from one or more biosensors located in the flexible band; and analyzing the received sensor data, via the one or more processing units, to compute a score representative of a physiological state of the wearer.

  • Publication number: 20110245633
Abstract: A wearable biosensor device gathers physiological data from the wearer and uses this information over time to diagnose, detect, monitor, and treat psychological disorders. The device triggers real-time psychological treatments based on personalized estimates of the wearer stored on the biosensor device. A therapeutic stimulus is selected from a library based on the data received from the wearable biosensor device and relating to psychological condition(s), and that stimulus is delivered to the wearer via an associated display. The aggregate data from use of the device is provided to clinicians and/or patients, in detail and in summary report forms, to indicate the symptoms of, detect and diagnose among disorders or subtypes, to analyze treatment effects, and to isolate the underlying causes of one or more psychological disorders or states.

  • Publication number: 20110201797
Abstract: Apparatus, devices, and methods for shearing nucleic acids are provided. In one exemplary embodiment the device is a disposable nucleic acid shearing cartridge. The cartridge includes two reservoirs, an orifice structure disposed therebetween, and a fluid driver. The reservoirs are in fluid communication with each other by way of the orifice structure, and the fluid driver cycles a sample between the two reservoirs. By passing a sample from one reservoir to the next, through the orifice structure, an orifice located in the orifice structure can shear the sample to a desired length. The sheared sample can then be used, for example, in a sequencing device. Apparatuses for cycling samples in the cartridge, and methods and kits for shearing nucleic acids, are also disclosed.
