    Abstract: The present invention is of an apparatus and method for enhancing skin, muscle and nerve stimulation and controlled delivery of an active substance to a subject's skin. Moreover, the present invention is of an apparatus, featuring a combination of a stimulating device and an exothermic heating source. Preferably, the stimulating device is an iontophoretic device, or an electrical stimulation device, such as, but not limited to TENS, IFC and GC devices or a combination thereof. The present invention also provides a method of using such an apparatus for enhancing skin, muscle and nerve stimulation.     Abstract: The present invention is of an electrode comprising an electrode substrate, wherein the electrode substrate has an electrode side and a back side; a conductive material layer disposed on the back side of the electrode substrate; and an insoluble electroactive material disposed on the electrode side of the electrode substrate. The electrode substrate can be a conductive substrate or a non-conductive substrate. In an embodiment wherein the substrate is a non-conductive substrate, the electrode can include vias which extend from the electrode substrate backside to the electrode side of the substrate. In some embodiments, the electroactive material is zinc and the conductive material is silver. The present invention provides an electrode with improved current distribution and high capacity, which can provide higher current and/or higher voltage. In addition, the present invention provides a dermal patch, which includes a higher powered, high capacity electrode with uniform current distribution.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a device and kit and method of use thereof for wound treatment of a subject. The device may include an electrically operated patch or other means of delivery of electrical current and a connected moist surface. Optionally, the device may include a composition comprising an active substance useful in wound treatment. Preferably, the means of delivery of electrical current includes a power source and a plurality of electrodes disposed in a suitable conformation on a base substrate layer, which readily facilitates electrical contact with the body area of the subject. Preferably, the kit may include a means of delivery of electrical current and a moist surface provided as separate components. The present invention further provides a thin and flexible device for galvanic treatment to treat wounds with electrical stimulation. Preferably, the device is made using a printing technique.
