    Abstract: A data transmitting tag adapted to, in response to a deactivation signal, block access to certain segments of the data contained therein. In a preferred embodiment, the tag also detunes at least one resonant circuit therein in order to avoid radiation pollution. A method is also provided to disable certain portions of the tag data, and preferably to verify such disablement.
