A method for transdermal delivery of a phonophoretic cannabidiol composition includes selecting laser pretreatment parameters, directing a laser beam to the treatment area, applying an amount of a phonophoretic cannabidiol composition to a treatment area, selecting ultrasonic treatment parameters, and, transmitting a plurality of ultrasonic waves to the treatment area.
