The transmissions may be associated with notifications for an application executing on the wearable device. The power management information may indicate that the device is to prevent the transmissions associated with the notifications for the application.

    Abstract: A mobile device, such as a smart phone, receives and presents interactive audio content from an interactive voice response (IVR) system. The mobile device provides an interface that enables a user to navigate through a menu presented in the interactive content. The interface further presents action elements that identify actions that can be requested through the menu, and selection of the one of the action elements may cause the IVR to perform an associated action. For example, the interface may identify representatives at a call center, and a selection of one of the action elements causes the IVR to establish a communication between the mobile device and the selected representative. The action elements may further identify status information associated with the call center, such as an expected wait time.

In some implementations, a battery management application at the mobile device can enable a user to configure operational priority values for one or more software applications installed on the device, a battery threshold value for the mobile device and device resources needed by prioritized applications. In some implementations, mobile devices across a network can be managed remotely through a device management application. The device management application can obtain operational priority values for one or more software applications executing on one or more devices. The device management application can identify respective battery thresholds for the devices and remotely control operation of the software applications based on their respective operational priorities and the identified battery thresholds.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for indexing and efficiently retrieving media content in a database use subtitle data of media content items, including subtitle text and timestamps, for indexing the items. A media server coupled to a communication network identifies keywords in the subtitle data, and stores the media content items in association with metadata including the keywords. When a search request for media content is received, a search for media content includes searching the metadata of the stored media content to identify media content items having subtitles matching the search request. In one example, keywords are translated into multiple languages to enable searching of the metadata in multiple languages. In another example, timestamp information included in the subtitle data is also included in the metadata so as to enable a search to return a time point within a media content item at which a keyword matches the search request.
