Publication number: 20230367974Abstract: Fuzzy string comparison between a first textual string of a first orthography and a second textual string of a second orthography is provided. The first and second textural strings are transliterated to a first phonetic spelling and a second phonetic spelling, respectively. Application of constraints of the first orthography on the first phonetic spelling and of constraints of the second orthography on the second phonetic spelling is detected. The detected constraints of the first orthography on the first phonetic spelling are reversed to generate a first revised phonetic spelling, and the detected constraints of the second orthography on the second phonetic spelling are reversed to generate a second revised phonetic spelling. The first revised phonetic spelling and the second revised phonetic spelling are compared to generate a similarity score for the first textual string and the second textual string.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2022Publication date: November 16, 2023Inventors: Kevin Corley WONUS, Shane Douglas SOLOMON

Patent number: 11263191Abstract: A method of storing multi-dimensional data, the method comprises encoding a structure of nodes of a tree data structure into an order representation; compressing data of nodes of the tree data structure to create a data stream of compressed data portions of variable length in a sequence corresponding to the order represented in the order representation. Each compressed data portion is formed from the data of each node. The method further comprises mapping the positions of the data portions in the data stream to the order representation to produce a location representation; and storing the order representation, data stream and location representation. A system of storing multi-dimensional data is also disclosed, as well as a method and system for retrieving stored multi-dimensional data.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2017Date of Patent: March 1, 2022Assignee: Pointerra Technologies Pty LtdInventor: Shane Douglas

Patent number: 6925444Abstract: A system and method create and share purchasing lists in a network system. The system and method utilize a consumer user interface. The consumer user interface provides the consumer the ability to create a purchase list by receiving advertisement data on the consumer device, selecting an item desired for purchase, identifying the purchase list for the item to be saved, creating the purchase list if the purchase list identified does not exist, and saving the item to the identified purchase list. The consumer user interface further provides the consumer the ability to share a purchase list by identifying a purchase list to be shared, converting the purchase list to the appropriate format, identifying a recipient of the purchase list, and transmitting the purchase list to the recipient.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 1998Date of Patent: August 2, 2005Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: William Girard McCollom, Robert King Ables, Jacqueline Ann Bray, Carolyn Soberalske Cotten, Martin Robert Fink, Shane Douglas Meyer, Silvi Kiisk Steigerwald

Patent number: 6526974Abstract: The pressure of breathable gas exiting a flow generator is controlled by adjusting the efficiency of the flow generator. In one embodiment, a baffle plate of a control element can restrict the open entry area of a motor driven turbine of the flow generator. In another embodiment, the degree of opening of the mouth of the flow generator inlet is automatically adjustable in response to the needs of the user, hence creating a pneumatic impedance, and which simultaneously controls, in the same manner, the impedance of the outlet of the device.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2000Date of Patent: March 4, 2003Inventors: John William Ernest Brydon, Peter John Deacon Wickham, Miroslav Bachak, Shane Douglas Hollis
