Abstract: The present invention comprises a metatarsal head implant comprising a generally convex, hollow portion that fits over the metatarsal head of the great toe, a serrated stem, and one or more locking screws. The implant of the present invention may work in conjunction with either the patient's existing phalanx or one-piece phalanx implants designed and/or manufactured independently from the metatarsal implant.

Abstract: An external fixation assembly for bone fusion is disclosed. The assembly includes an extension arm having a fixation joint portion and a pin element moveably disposed along the extension arm defining a first joint portion. The assembly further comprises a plurality of connecting pins for bone fusion. Each of the connecting pins is configured to engage with bone matter for bone fusion and to singly attach to one of the joint portions for support.
