Abstract: A liner in a label-liner combination is provided with a die cut portion made in the liner. The die cut portion is aligned with at least one edge in a label and a front side of the liner is attached to a backside of the label. The die cut portion of the liner is adapted to be removed from the liner when the label is removed from the label-liner combination. Dimensions, and orientation, and a location of the die cut portion in the liner are adapted to allow the label to be removed from the label-liner combination and applied to a surface by digits of a hand without touching an adhesive coating on the backside of the label and adapted to maintain proper printer waste liner spool operations when the liner is wound after application of the label.

Abstract: A label-liner combination is provided. A liner substrate is segmented into three portions by horizontal die cut ties made in the liner substrate. The three portions comprise a top portion, a liner tear strip, and a bottom portion. A label substrate is segmented into three portions by perforations a border portion, a label tear strip, and a center portion. A front side of the liner substrate is aligned with a backside of the label substrate such that the liner tear strip aligns within the label tear strip, the bottom portion of the liner substrate aligns with the center portion of the label substrate, and the top portion of the liner substrate is aligned above and below a top perforation for the label tear strip.

Abstract: A label with one or more removable components is provided. The label includes a substrate having a front side and a back side. A first area is defined within the front side and the back side of the substrate. A second area is defined within the front side and the back side of the substrate, the second area representing an independent-removable label from the label. In an embodiment, a method of printing the label with one or more removable components is provided. Print data is identified as confidential data and non-confidential data. The print data is reformatted so that the confidential data is imaged/printed by a printer in just the second area of the front side representing the independent-removable label.
