  • Patent number: 12239787
Abstract: An intubation assistance device facilitates insertion of an endotracheal tube or a guide wire into a patient's trachea without requiring a laryngoscope. The device includes a curved flexible tubular member that has a proximal portion having a proximal end, a distal portion having a distal end, and a curved portion between the proximal portion and the distal portion. A lumen extends from the proximal end of the tubular member and terminates in the curved portion of the tubular member. The lumen is sized and shaped so that an endotracheal tube and/or a guide wire is axially moveable through the lumen. A ramp is disposed at a distal end of the lumen, and is angled to facilitate insertion of the endotracheal tube and/or guide wire into the patient's trachea. The distal portion of the tubular member includes an esophageal protrusion that is configured to be inserted in the patient's esophagus.

  • Publication number: 20240277345
Abstract: A targeted pressure device for providing point or proximal pressure to a targeted site in order to help occlude open blood vessels includes a base plate and two or more anchoring members. The base plate has a first surface configured to face towards the targeted site and a second surface opposite of the first surface. The anchoring members are fixedly coupled to the second surface of the base plate and extend perpendicular to the base plate. Each one of the anchoring members has a narrow distal portion and a wide proximal portion having a proximal end that is a fixed distance away from the base plate. The anchoring members are configured for engaging with a wrapping member that is used to attach the targeted pressure device to the targeted site.

  • Publication number: 20230284773
Abstract: A rapid access pouch system includes an outer pouch having an inner storage compartment defined by a front surface, a back surface, two closed side surfaces, an open end, and a closed end. An inner tray is sized and shaped to fit within the inner storage compartment. The inner tray is semi-rigid. The inner tray includes a handle that protrudes out of the open end of the inner storage compartment when the inner tray is positioned inside the outer pouch. The open end of the outer pouch comprises a closing mechanism operably adapted for rapidly converting the outer pouch between an open configuration and a closed configuration. One or more outer storage pockets are fixedly attached to the front surface of the outer pouch, and the outer storage pockets have openings that are adjacent to the closed end of the outer pouch.

  • Publication number: 20230080287
Abstract: A holster for attaching an item to a garment includes a baseplate having a central portion and a peripheral portion. The baseplate is made of a rigid or semi-rigid material. The central portion of the baseplate includes a first opening that is sized and shaped to accommodate a belt, strap, or MOLLE webbing. The holster additionally includes a plurality of notches in the peripheral portion of the baseplate. The plurality of notches are sized and shaped to accommodate a tethering member passing therethrough. The holster may be attached to the garment by engagement between the opening in the baseplate and the garment. The item to be carried in the holster is strapped to the holster with the tethering member. The holster may be provided as part of a kit that includes a top plate and the tethering member.

  • Publication number: 20220054144
Abstract: An apparatus for applying point-pressure to a wound site that helps occlude open blood vessels. The apparatus being comprised of a pressure applicator, a mounting plate, articulating strap attachment points, and counter-pressure cavities. The articulating strap attachment points attach to straps around a patient's body in such a manner that the apparatus is stabilized over a patient's wound. Moreover, the counter-pressure cavities permit a user to apply leverage caused by counter-force mechanism (while also applying a downward force on the pressure applicator). These features enable a user to quickly and easily apply point pressure to a wound site.
