  • Publication number: 20250179852
Abstract: A hinge is disclosed for pivotably coupling a first structure to a second structure. The hinge includes a driving member, a driven member, and an elastomeric bushing disposed along a central axis. The driving member is configured for coupling to the first structure. The elastomeric bushing is disposed between the driving member and the driven member to cushion engagement of the driving member with the driven member.

  • Patent number: 10792442
Abstract: An apparatus for generating aerosol comprises a capillary tube comprising at least one bend, fluid inlets, and an outlet along the bend. The capillary tube is heated to a temperature sufficient to volatilize fluid in the capillary tube, such that the volatilized fluid discharges from the outlet to form an aerosol.

  • Publication number: 20120000565
Abstract: A process of making an adjustable diameter barrel form includes the steps of providing a sheet formed of metal and folding the sheet along a widthwise bend. Pressure is applied to the sheet along the bend within a rolling device. The sheet is rolled within the rolling device over its length gradually moving the bend from one lengthwise end to the other lengthwise end while applying the pressure. The pressure is removed to release the sheet so that the sheet can roll up in a lengthwise direction into a coil. The rolling device can include a pair of rollers, an arbor, and a mandrel on the arbor. The rolling device can include a base plate, a press plate, and a mandrel between the plates.

  • Publication number: 20110203606
Abstract: A radially adjustable barrel, a barrel-adjustment assembly, a radially adjustable heater assembly, and a radially adjustable distal-tip assembly. The barrel is radially adjustable between expanded and contracted positions having different diameters. The barrel-adjustment assembly includes a rotary ring defining a spiral cam guide and includes a cam follower attached to the barrel. The heater assembly includes a post, at least one heater, and at least one spring mounting the heater to the post and biasing the heater radially outward. In use, rotating the ring rotates the spiral cam guide, which displaces the cam follower radially inward or outward, which in turn displaces the outer end of the barrel radially inward or outward to decrease or increase the diameter of the barrel. As the diameter of the barrel is adjusted, the heaters remain in contact with the barrel due to the outwardly biasing influence of the spring.

  • Publication number: 20090224079
Abstract: A fuel injector includes an injector body having a plurality of body components, including an insert positioned within a second body component. The insert includes a conical valve seat and is attached to the second body component with a plurality of welds each including a stitch straddling a perimetric interface between the insert and the second body component. A remanufacturing process such as for a valve body of a fuel injector includes removing the damaged valve seat from within a salvaged valve body, and forming a substitute valve seat in an insert welded to the valve body with a plurality of crack free welds. Each of the welds includes a stitch straddling a perimetric interface between the insert and the valve body, and the insert may be formed of 52100 steel. Other machine components subjected to axial loading may be welded and otherwise processed in manufacturing or remanufacturing as described herein.
