  • Publication number: 20230048504
Abstract: Examples are described herein for dynamically allocating shared bus lanes provided by a peripheral component bridge. A multiplexor may be operably coupled with the bridge via the shared bus lanes. A plurality of peripheral component slots may each be operably coupled with the multiplexor via a respective plurality of peripheral bus lanes. The multiplexor may multiplex the shared bus lanes to multiple different peripheral component slots. Circuitry may: interrogate each of the peripheral component slots to obtain information about a modular component installed in the peripheral component slot, wherein the information about the modular component includes a usable range of bus lanes and a transmission speed capability; and cause the multiplexor to dynamically allocate the number of shared bus lanes to the respective pluralities of peripheral bus lanes of the peripheral component slots based on the usable ranges and transmission speed capabilities of the installed modular components.

  • Patent number: 11294442
Abstract: In an example, a method, non-transitory machine-readable storage medium, and apparatus is described for preserving data in a solid state drive in the event of an unclean shutdown of the host computing system. A controller of the host computing system detects an unclean shutdown that initiates a power down of the host computing system, In response to the detecting the controller asserts a first signal that signals the solid state drive to write data in a volatile memory of the solid state drive to a non-volatile memory of the solid state drive, The controller then initiates a timer to count down a predefined delay period after the asserting. Upon an expiration of the timer, the controller asserts a second signal that instructs a power supply of the host computing system to power off.

  • Publication number: 20210060297
Abstract: A medical device handle for articulation of a catheter includes a housing having a cylindrical shape, a control element at least partly encompassed by the housing, the control element having a pair of cross-cut threads cross-cut in opposing directions around a longitudinal axis of the medical device handle, and a pair of pull wire mounting elements each having a mounting thread engaging with one of the cross-cut threads. The control element is mechanically coupled to each of the pull wire mounting elements via the cross-cut threads and the mounting threads without any additional gear in between. A rotation of the control element around the longitudinal axis moves the pull wire mounting elements in opposite linear directions along the longitudinal axis.
