  • Patent number: 7826656
Abstract: A method for compensating a pixel of an image is provided The method includes using four median value extraction matrices to obtain the edge information of the image, where the edge information obtained by two of the matrices is Gb value, and the edge information obtained by the other two matrices is Gr value, calculating the corresponding average values of the Gb and Gr values, multiplying a differential value between the average value of the Gb value and the average value of the Gr value with a proportion value to obtain a compensation value, and adding the compensation value to or subtracting the compensation value from the original Gb and Gr values to obtain compensated Gb and Gr values.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 18, 2007
Date of Patent: November 2, 2010
    Assignee: Nuvoton Technology Corporation
    Inventor: Shang-Kai Chiu
  • Patent number: 7714900
Abstract: A scene is captured. A two-dimensional matrix comprising a plurality of image detection components is generated according to the captured scene. Each image detection component corresponds to one color component. A plurality of matrixes are generated according to the image detection components. One image detection component and a portion of matrixes are calculated to obtain the missing color components.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 30, 2006
Date of Patent: May 11, 2010
    Assignee: Nuvotron Technology Corporation
    Inventor: Shang-Kai Chiu
  • Publication number: 20090169100
Abstract: A motion-oriented image compensating method is disclosed. The method uses the pixel luminance of a present image data and a last image data to judge the minimum motion vector in X-axis and the minimum motion vector in Y-axis of the present image data, following by conducting luminance compensation of the pixels according to the above-mentioned two minimum motion vectors to advance the sharpness of image edges and thereby the image quality.
