  • Patent number: 8310469
Abstract: A display device includes a light emitting element, a capacitor, a driving transistor, and first to third switching units. The capacitor is connected between a first node and a second node. The driving transistor has an input terminal connected with a first voltage, an output terminal, and a control terminal connected with the second node, and it outputs a driving current to the light emitting element. The first switching unit selects and connects one of a data voltage and a second voltage to the first node. The second switching unit switches a connection between the second voltage and the second node. The third switching unit selects and connects one of the second node and the light emitting element to the output terminal of the driving transistor.

  • Publication number: 20080297468
Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) apparatus includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer and a backlight assembly. The first substrate includes a display part and a sensor part. The sensor part is disposed in a peripheral area of the display part and senses external light. The second substrate is disposed opposite to the first substrate. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The backlight assembly is disposed adjacent to the second substrate to expose the first substrate and to provide light. A light detecting function of the sensor part may be increased, so that the backlight may be used effectively and the power consumption of the display apparatus may be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20080030494
Abstract: A gate-on voltage generation circuit, a gate-off voltage generation circuit, and a liquid crystal display (LCD) using the same are provided. The gate-on voltage generation circuit includes a first capacitor charged with a first control signal and a first reference voltage to output a first charging voltage through a first output node according to the first control signal. A second capacitor is charged with a second control signal and the first reference voltage to output a second charging voltage according to the second control signal. A first switching device is connected between the first capacitor and the first output node to selectively output the first charging voltage to the first output node. A second switching device is turned on by the second charging voltage to supply the first reference voltage to the first capacitor, the first and second switching devices being exclusively turned on and off.

  • Publication number: 20070268230
Abstract: Disclosed is a level shifter having an amplifier amplifying a second supply voltage and generating an input voltage higher than the predetermined signal, a input buffer selectively transferring an input signal based on the input voltage of the amplifier and an output transistor providing a first supply voltage to an output terminal based on the input signal of the input buffer. When the transistor of the amplifier is turned on, the voltage difference of between gate and source of the input buffer is increased according to the increase of the input voltage, so that it is possible to operate with high speed. Moreover, when the transistor of the amplifier is turned off, the voltage difference of between gate and source becomes negative so that power consumption may reduce because there is no leakage current.
