  • Publication number: 20210052308
Abstract: A trajectory guide is provided for determining the trajectory of a compression screw relative to a previously implanted screw located within an orthopaedic plate. The guide is adapted to releasably position a drill guide in spaced-apart relation to an orthopaedic plate having previously implanted first screws such that the guide defines a trajectory for a compression screw that is nonintersecting with the first screws.

  • Patent number: 10470782
Abstract: An apparatus comprises a medial rail having a plurality of openings through the medial rail for receiving pins, screws or wires. An arm is pivotally mounted to the medial rail. The arm has at least a first track on a first side. A post has a connector slidably mounted to the first track of the arm for movement along the first track. A guide is slidably mounted for movement along the post. The guide has at least one opening through it and at least one pin for engaging a bone of a patient.

  • Publication number: 20160287300
Abstract: A method and device to correct hammertoes. The device is a bone implant that includes an elongated body having a first threaded portion with a first thread pitch and a second threaded portion with a second thread pitch. When the implant is implanted into a joint and rotated about its longitudinal axis when mated with a driver bit, a target joint may be compressed using the pitch differential between the first and second threads. The first and second threads may also be disposed at opposing angles, to help prevent pistoning of the compressed bones. The implant can have one or two driving heads, to accommodate the different methods of insertion.

  • Publication number: 20140188239
Abstract: A method and device to correct hammertoes. The device includes an elongated device having a first threaded end with a first thread pitch and a second threaded end with a second thread pitch. A core connects the first and second threaded ends. When the implant is implanted into a joint and rotated about its longitudinal axis when mated with a driver, a target joint may be compressed using the first thread pitch on a distal bone in the joint and the second thread pitch on a proximate bone in the joint. The first and second thread pitches may be the same but in opposing directions, may be different but in the same direction, or may be different and in opposing directions.
