    Abstract: A method and composite for treating a wound. A wound is sprayed with a composition that includes a volatile organic solvent, a biocompatible polymer and turmeric powder. The solvent evaporates during the spraying. The resulting composite stops bleeding instantly, can remain on the wound for prolonged periods and adheres with the wound, even under arterial pressure. The composite serves to promote wound healing and hemostasis in bleeding wounds.
