  • Publication number: 20240094548
Abstract: A head-mounted device may include optical assemblies for presenting images to a user. Motors may be used to adjust the spacing between the optical assemblies to accommodate different interpupillary distances. Gaze trackers may be used to make interpupillary distance measurements and eye relief measurements. Adjustments to the positions of the optical assemblies may be made by the motors based on the interpupillary distance measurements and eye relief measurements.

  • Publication number: 20240069596
Abstract: A head-mounted device may include a main housing portion and displays in the main housing portion that provide images to eye boxes. A light seal may be coupled to the main housing portion and may at least partially surround the eye boxes. The head-mounted device may include sweat mitigation structures such as moisture-guiding channels in the light seal to guide sweat and other moisture away from the eye boxes. The moisture-guiding channels may be formed from grooves or moisture-wicking fabric. Control circuitry may adjust a fan based on humidity, temperature, or fog detected by a sensor. The light seal may include a directional pattern of grooves through which moisture is guided away from the eye boxes. A moisture barrier layer may be interposed between an inner foam layer and an outer light-blocking fabric to prevent sweat from penetrating into the foam.

  • Publication number: 20230418019
Abstract: A head-mounted device may have a display with pixel arrays that display content for a user. A head-mounted support structure in the device supports the pixel arrays on the head of the user. A left positioner may be used to position a left lens assembly that includes a left lens and a first pixel array. A right positioner may be used to position a right lens assembly that includes a right lens and a second pixel array. Control circuitry may adjust the positions of the left and right lens assemblies using interpupillary distance information. Sensing circuitry such as force sensing circuitry may be used to ensure that the lens assemblies do not apply excessive force on a nose. Force sensors may be included between the lens assemblies and the nose, such as in, on, or adjacent to a nasal flap, or may be coupled to the lens assemblies.

  • Publication number: 20230189923
Abstract: Soles for articles of footwear including a mechanically anisotropic three-dimensional mesh. The mechanically anisotropic three-dimensional mesh can include one or more mechanically anisotropic regions with a first lattice shear modulus measured in a first direction and a second lattice shear modulus measured in a second direction opposite to or orthogonal to the first direction. The first and second lattice shear moduli are different to provide the three-dimensional mesh with mechanically anisotropic properties. The mechanically anisotropic three-dimensional mesh can be three-dimensionally printed.

  • Publication number: 20220192637
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein include receiving, by a processor, one or more data files from an ultrasound shear wave elastography apparatus configured to capture viscoelastic tissue properties in an area of a subject using ultrasound shear wave electrography, processing the one or more data files to compute viscoelastic tissue parameters related to the area of the subject, compiling the viscoelastic tissue parameters and one or more associated data file identifiers to generate a processed data file, wherein the one or more associated data file identifiers includes at least one of: user characteristics, exercise characteristics, a footwear type, or an apparel type, and generating a recommendation report, wherein the recommendation report includes a footwear recommendation selected based on one or more trends from the viscoelastic tissue parameters.
