    Abstract: A method for visual tool identification employing unique indicia as an identifier of an owner of a tool. The indicia identifiers are assigned by a provider and a database of tools owned and bearing said indica is maintained. The unique indicia identifier is preferably discernable from a distance such as further than the unaided eye may recognize a face so that third parties may identify tools and their owners from a distance.
