    Abstract: Provided are a parallel magnetic resonance imaging method and apparatus based on adaptive joint sparse codes and a computer-readable medium. The method includes solving an l2?lF?l2,1 minimization objective, where the l2 norm is a data fitting term, the lF norm is a sparse representation error, and the l2,1 mixed norm is the joint sparsity constraining across multiple channels; separately updating each of a sparse matrix, a dictionary and K-space data with a corresponding algorithm, and obtaining a reconstructed image by a sum of root mean squares of all the channels. The joint sparsity of the channels is developed using the norm l2,1. In this manner, calibration is not required while information sparsity is developed. Moreover, the method is robust.

The control signaling may indicate a first duration for an inactivity timer. The UE may initiate the inactivity timer and a second timer based on identifying a period of inactivity. The second timer may have a second duration that is shorter than the first duration for the inactivity timer. In some examples, the second duration may be based on one or more parameters, such as a display status, a battery status, a scaling factor, the first duration, an application state, or any combination thereof. The UE may release a connection for the communications in the wireless communications system based on an expiration of the second timer, an expiration of the inactivity timer, or a combination thereof.

The UE receives, from the network device, a configured DRX cycle value associated with the indication and a paging signal corresponding to the PWS signal associated with the configured DRX cycle value. The network device determines whether the UE is capable of receiving the PWS signal and whether the UE desires to receive the PWS signal within a duration. The network device configures a DRX cycle value based on the determination and sends, to the UE, the configured DRX cycle value and a paging signal corresponding to the PWS signal based on the configured DRX cycle value. Alternatively, in a carrier aggregation (CA) mode, with the UE connected to a single node comprising a primary cell and one or more secondary cells, the UE may not control which and how many secondary cells with which it communicates. In such a scenario, if such secondary cells are configured for channel quality indicator reporting, the UE may report a low CQI value so that the node will cease scheduling data on such cells.
