Publication number: 20180197532Abstract: An automotive infotainment system includes a source of a first audio content signal. The first audio content signal includes spoken or sung words. An electronic processor receives the first audio content signal, and identifies a predetermined objectionable word among the words in the first audio content signal. A buffer receives and temporarily stores the first audio content signal. The buffer transmits a second audio content signal. The second audio content signal is a censored and delayed version of the first audio content signal. The electronic processor removes a portion of the first audio content signal including the predetermined objectionable word to thereby produce the second audio content signal in the buffer.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 19, 2017Publication date: July 12, 2018Inventors: SHANTHA KUMARI RAJENDRAN, ROHAN RAMDAS REPALE

Publication number: 20180039475Abstract: A user-created audio station arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a plurality of sources of audio content. A user interface enables a human user to input a preference for a type of audio content to be played by an audio system of the motor vehicle. An electronic processor is communicatively coupled to the sources of audio content and to the user interface. The electronic processor receives the preference for a type of audio content from the user interface. The electronic processor searches the sources of audio content for audio content of the type preferred by the human user.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 2, 2017Publication date: February 8, 2018Inventors: SHANTHA KUMARI RAJENDRAN, HARSHA V. Publication number: 20170286060Abstract: A motor vehicle includes an audio system which plays a song for a human user who is disposed within the vehicle. An electronic source of song information is associated with the song played by the audio system. A user interface receives a request from the user to transmit the song information to a human recipient. A processing device is communicatively coupled to each of the user interface and a mobile personal electronic device associated with the user. The processing device receives a signal from the user interface. The signal is indicative of the request from the user to transmit the song information to the human recipient. In response to receiving the signal from the user interface, the song information is transmitted from the processing device to the mobile personal electronic device associated with the user. The song information is further transmitted from the mobile personal electronic device associated with the user to an electronic device associated with the recipient.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 24, 2017Publication date: October 5, 2017Inventors: SHANTHA KUMARI RAJENDRAN, PADHU KANAGARAJ

Publication number: 20170043664Abstract: A method is for presenting information to passengers within a vehicle having at least one sheet of transparent material associated with a passenger compartment of the vehicle. A first priority level is assigned to first infotainment content. The first infotainment content is displayed in association with the sheet of transparent material. A second priority level is assigned to second infotainment content. It is determined whether the second priority level is higher than the first priority level. If the second priority level is higher than the first priority level, then the displaying of the first infotainment content is ceased, and displaying of the second infotainment content in association with the sheet of transparent material is initiated. If the second priority level is not higher than the first priority level, then the displaying of the first infotainment content is continued.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 12, 2016Publication date: February 16, 2017Inventor: SHANTHA KUMARI RAJENDRAN

Publication number: 20120194332Abstract: A system that notifies the automobile driver about excessive noise emitted out of the automobile audio system is provided. This is done to avoid a possible traffic law violation for excessive sound system noise. The system takes audio data from a microphone and calculates the decibel value based on it. The system also gets the current GPS coordinate location of the automobile and determines the state of country in which it is driven now. The current location is used by the system to determine the state legal limit of decibel value for automobile audio. If the current noise decibel level emitted from the automobile audio is greater than the state limit then the driver might be violating a state traffic law. The driver is alerted so that they can reduce the volume level.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 30, 2011Publication date: August 2, 2012Inventors: GANAPATHY LAKSHMANAPERUMAL, SHANTHA KUMARI RAJENDRAN
