    Abstract: Methods of cutting gate structures and fins, and structures formed thereby, are described. In an embodiment, a substrate includes first and second fins and an isolation region. The first and second fins extend longitudinally parallel, with the isolation region disposed therebetween. A gate structure includes a conformal gate dielectric over the first fin and a gate electrode over the conformal gate dielectric. A first insulating fill structure abuts the gate structure and extends vertically from a level of an upper surface of the gate structure to at least a surface of the isolation region. No portion of the conformal gate dielectric extends vertically between the first insulating fill structure and the gate electrode. A second insulating fill structure abuts the first insulating fill structure and an end sidewall of the second fin. The first insulating fill structure is disposed laterally between the gate structure and the second insulating fill structure.

    Abstract: A screwdriver bit includes a shank and a function portion which is integrally formed with the shank. The function portion includes a driving end and a transitional portion which is integrally formed with the driving end. At least one residual stress-relief groove is defined in the outer surface of the transitional portion. The at least one residual stress-relief groove includes a start point and an end point. The start point is located at the lowest point of one of chip flutes of the screwdriver bit. The end point is located at a conjunction portion between the transitional portion and the shank. The least one residual stress-relief groove adjusts the locations of the residual stress-relief groove of surface extension of the screwdriver bit, or even removes the residual stress-relief groove of surface extension of the transitional portion.

The back-light plate changes paths of light beams generated from the light source toward the bit type indications so that the bit type indications are illuminated when the cover is opened.

    Abstract: A tool box includes a U-shaped body having a first pivotal portion and a second pivotal portion. A carrier is located in the installation opening and pivotably connected between the first and second pivotal portions by engaging two pivots of the carrier with the reception holes in the first and second pivotal portions. The carrier has multiple recesses for receiving bits therein. Multiple magnets are connected to one end of the carrier so as to be attached on a metal surface. The cannier is angularly positioned relative to the body when the carrier is pivoted an angle so that the user can easily pick the bits. The cannier is positioned relative to the body when the carrier is pivoted to be received in the installation opening.

    Abstract: A tool bit tray for storage of at least one tool bit, wherein the tool bit has in its periphery at least one notch in which a snap ring of a tool bit socket may elastically snap. The tool bit tray includes a board and at least one retaining rib. The board defines at least one bore for reception of the tool bit. The retaining rib is formed integrally at a predetermined position on an inner wall of the bore corresponding to that of the notch of the tool bit. As such, when the tool bit is inserted in the bore of the board, the retaining rib may snap in the notch of the tool bit to constrain the tool bit from vertical displacement.

    Abstract: A method for color coding a tool bit includes the following steps: Firstly, a hexagon receptacle is defined in one end of a shaft of a motor. Then, a tool bit to be colored is inserted into the hexagon receptacle of the shaft of the motor in a coaxial manner. A pneumatic device is utilized to have dyestuff injected from a paint reservoir to a brush. The paint reservoir and the brush then move together with respect to the motor to have the brush in contact with a side surface of the tool bit. And, the motor is turned on to rotate the tool bit so as to have the tool bit be annularly colored by the brush. Upon finished coloring, the paint reservoir and the brush together are returned back to their original positions and the motor is turned off. Finally, the colored tool bit can be removed off the shaft of the motor.

    Abstract: An apparatus for color coding a tool bit includes a motor, a paint supply device, a brush, a lifting mechanism and a control unit. The motor includes a shaft onto which the tool bit is positioned. The paint supply device is provided for ejecting dyestuff therefrom. The brush is arranged to absorb the dyestuff from the paint supply device. The lifting mechanism is configured to move the paint reservoir and the brush together to have the brush contact with or depart from the tool bit. The control unit includes a pedal-type switch for activating the lifting mechanism, the motor and the paint supply device together in order to have the tool bit be annularly colored.
