  • Patent number: 11966835
Abstract: A sparse convolutional neural network accelerator system that dynamically and efficiently identifies fine-grained parallelism in sparse convolution operations. The system determines matching pairs of non-zero input activations and weights from the compacted input activation and weight arrays utilizing a scalable, dynamic parallelism discovery unit (PDU) that performs a parallel search on the input activation array and the weight array to identify reducible input activation and weight pairs.

  • Publication number: 20240096884
Abstract: A method of making a semiconductor device includes forming a first polysilicon structure over a first portion of a substrate. The method further includes forming a first spacer on a sidewall of the first polysilicon structure, wherein the first spacer has a concave corner region between an upper portion and a lower portion. The method further includes forming a protective layer covering an entirety of the first spacer and the first polysilicon structure, wherein the protective layer has a first thickness over the concave corner region and a second thickness over the first polysilicon structure, and a difference between the first thickness and the second thickness is at most 10% of the second thickness.

  • Patent number: 10880237
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments relate to techniques for identifying messaging robots, or bots, to surface in response to a request. For example, in order to facilitate increased interaction between a user and a bot, a list of candidate bots that the user is likely to be interested in may be surfaced to the user in response to a search for a bot or a request that a bot perform a particular task. Identifying the bots may be accomplished by generating a list of candidate bots and filtering the list based on filtering metrics. Then, the remaining bots may be ranked based on ranking metrics, and the top bots in the ranking may be returned. In some embodiments, two sets of ranks may calculated: one for retention rate, and another rank for the number of messages sent and received by the bots.

  • Publication number: 20050239063
Abstract: This invention relates to methods for determining the risk of developing cataract in mammals, and, more specifically, in mammals, including humans, with non-insulin dependent diabetes. The methods are performed by determining the presence or absence of genetic markers in genomic DNA. The presence of a Z-2 allele, a microsatellite marker of the aldose reductase, is indicative of an increased risk for developing cataract. The presence of Z-4, a microsatellite allele of the aldose reductase gene, indicates a decreased risk for developing cataract. The methods comprise nucleic acid probes that hybridize to a nucleic acid encoding the microsatellite region of the mammalian aldose reductase gene. The probes may also be immobilized on a solid support to form a microarray.
