    Abstract: A microelectromechanical system (MEMS) device includes a diaphragm capacitor, connected between a capacitor biasing voltage source and a ground. A source follower circuit is coupled to the diaphragm capacitor. An amplifier is coupled to the source follower circuit to amplify the voltage signal as an output voltage signal. A programmable trimming circuit is implemented with the amplifier to trim a gain or implemented with the capacitor biasing voltage source to trim voltage applied on the diaphragm capacitor. Whereby, the output voltage signal has a target sensitivity.

    Abstract: A method for decomposition and rendering of video content and user interface for operating the method thereof is disclosed. First, a plurality of target shots are recognized from a video, the video is decomposed into a plurality of video units based on the playtime of each target shot. Then, the video frame of target shot is decomposed into a background scene and at least one foreground object. The editing process is performed on the background to generate the plentiful visual effect. The video content of each video unit is known by analyzing the information of the foreground object, and therefore each video unit can be annotated. Furthermore, the user interface reintegrates the foreground object in the background scene and generates the customized video content according to users' request, so that viewers may get more enjoyment on game watching.

A multi-bit pixel value of each of the representative pixels is divided into a number (N) of bit sections, each corresponding to one of a number (N) of different bit significance levels, based on a bit depth, where N is associated with the bit depth. The bit sections of the pixel values of the representative pixels having the same bit significance level are arranged together to form a number (N) of bit depth planes each including the bit sections that have a corresponding one of the bit significance levels. During a stress mode, a voltage supply and control block applies a stress enable signal to the interconnected first input terminals, and an increased supply voltage to the voltage supply terminals.     Abstract: Various technologies and techniques are disclosed for displaying and managing spreadsheets on mobile devices. An optimized search can be performed. A selection is received from a user to open a spreadsheet. A find selection is received from the use along with keywords for which to the user wishes to search. Any matching keywords are found in the spreadsheet and the cell location of the keywords is retrieved. A results page is constructed that shows search result listings with the keywords along with data surrounding the one or more keywords. The results page is displayed. Navigation options are provided for allowing a user to navigate around the spreadsheet. Right, left, downward, and upward navigation options can be used to change the current view of the spreadsheet by a pre-defined number of cells. Techniques are described for optimizing the display of charts in the spreadsheet.

    Abstract: This invention disclosed a method to detect bioparticles in the biological samples (stools, urine, or other body fluids). Bioparticles (e.g. virus, bacteria, and cells) often serve as carrier/indicator of pathogens and/or toxins. The method employs a substrate with interlaced comb-like electrodes on which a certain amount of sample mixed with antibodies-coated gold nanoparticles is dropped. Then the alternative signals with specific frequency bands are applied on the comb-like electrodes so that under such a DEP force the Au-modified bioparticles can be separated from the other constituents of the sample and can be absorbed effectively onto the edges of the electrodes. After rinsed with water to remove the residual sample several times, the device will be measured for the impedance of the absorbed bioparticles on the edges of the electrodes. The measured impedance deviation in comparison with that of the reference empty comb-like electrodes will quantify the amount of the absorbed bioparticles.

    Abstract: A global elimination algorithm for motion estimation and the hardware architecture thereof that can efficiently remove the braches in the data flow, so that the data flow is smoothened and is more adapted for hardware implementation. Because the processing time for each motion vector is fixed, preliminary prediction can be eliminated. The elimination ratio of the search locations will not be varied with time change and thus can be increased. The global elimination algorithm can produce a search result of high accuracy that is identical to that of a full-search block matching algorithm. The peak signal-to-noise ratio of global elimination algorithm is at times better than that of full-search block matching algorithm. Compared with other architectures based on the full-search block matching algorithm, the hardware architecture of the present invention can provide a best computational capability for each logic gate, while the power consumption of logic gates is minimum under the same throughput of motion vector.
