    Abstract: An intelligent detection method and system are provided for identify internal defects of a wood member with a rectangular section. According to the method, collected ultrasonic wave velocity data is corrected to make internal defect characteristics of the rectangular wood member more prominent. In addition, distribution of the corrected ultrasonic wave velocity data in a rectangular cross section of wood member is determined, and gradient visualization processing with red, green and blue (RGB) color is performed according to an ultrasonic wave velocity to obtain a two-dimensional (2D) detection image of a cross section of each layer in the wood member. Then, transformation from each discrete 2D detection plane to a complete three-dimensional (3D) image is performed to precisely detect whether there are defects in the rectangular wood member.

    Abstract: A three-dimensional (3D) terrain reconstruction method for a scoured area around bridge pier foundation based on a mechanical scanned imaging sonar includes scanning an overall terrain of a scoured area around bridge pier foundation with a sonar from different azimuths to acquire n sonar images of a foundation scouring terrain; intercepting multiple analysis sections from each of acquired sonar images at a same distance; extracting key parameters of upper and lower edges on a terrain imaging strip in each of the analysis sections in the image, and transforming extracted parameters to a 3D space, a fan-shaped beam surface of the sonar being represented with a fan-shaped arc; recognizing a scour terrain profile in the analysis section; recognizing terrain profiles one by one, and respectively extracting spatially scattered 3D coordinate data; and performing interpolation and fitting on the spatially scattered data, thus implementing 3D reconstruction for the foundation scouring terrain.

    Abstract: Provided are a concrete member reinforcement method and a concrete reinforcement structure. The concrete reinforcement structure includes a concrete member, a first bonding body, a second bonding body, and a fiber-reinforced composite strip. At least one groove is formed on a surface of the concrete member, and a first binder is used for filling the groove to form a first bonding body. A second binder is used for being coated on the surface of the concrete member provided with the groove, as well as the top surface of the first bonding body to form a second bonding body. The fiber-reinforced composite strip is used for being pasted on a surface, far away from the first bonding body, of the second bonding body, so that the fiber-reinforced composites can be firmly combined with the concrete member and are not easy to fall off.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a device and a method for reinforcing a round section wood beam by the combination of a prestressed Fiber Reinforce Plastic (FRP) sheet and a high strength steel wire rope. The device includes an FRP sheet adhered to a bottom surface of a log beam in the length direction. A middle supporting piece is mounted in the middle of the log beam. An end part reinforcing anchoring piece is mounted at each of two ends of the log beam. FRP hoops are adhered to the log beam and are located between the middle supporting piece and each of the end part reinforcing anchoring pieces at intervals in the length direction. High strength steel wire ropes with both ends connected to the corresponding end part reinforcing anchoring pieces are respectively arranged on the two sides of the middle supporting piece.
