Abstract: This invention relates to the field of highway vehicle toll collection system and vehicle license plate recognition technology, in particular involving two cameras vehicle recognition system and collection method. It is composed of the door entry system and the photographing recognition system based on an ETC system, wherein the photographing recognition system comprises a main camera and an auxiliary camera, and the main camera and the auxiliary camera are installed from front to back respectively on two upright posts, and the data is transmitted to the computer of the toll booth through the two complementary cameras. This invention can accurately replace the existing high-speed ETC RFID (radio frequency identification) device and realize the zero-cost during the journey through the accurate recognition of the license plate and the automatic recognition and conversion of the vehicle license plate number image into the digital signal.
