  • Publication number: 20220188380
Abstract: This application provides a data processing method applied to a GPU, including: reading a to-be-processed matrix from memory corresponding to a target GPU into registers in a target streaming multiprocessor, where the target streaming multiprocessor is a streaming multiprocessor adapted to perform a matrix computation on the to-be-processed matrix; in a process of reading the to-be-processed matrix from the registers into shared memory corresponding to the registers, performing a first preset operation on the to-be-processed matrix to obtain an initial matrix corresponding to the to-be-processed matrix; and in a process of reading the initial matrix from the shared memory into the registers, performing a second preset operation on the initial matrix to obtain a target matrix meeting a matrix multiplication operation requirement of a matrix-dedicated computation unit.

  • Patent number: 10990559
Abstract: A serial communication protocol for daisy-chained slave devices does away with the requirement for an entire byte of dummy clocks to be cycled between a slave's input and output, instead requiring a shorter set of dummy clock cycles which improves efficiency of a serial communication system. According to a specification of a serial communications protocol, data is exchanged between master and slave devices in communication frames. Each communication frame has a command portion and a data portion, and each respective portion may comprise packages of one or more bytes.

  • Publication number: 20130307847
Abstract: A method for graphics rendering adaptation by a server that includes a graphics rendering engine that generates graphic video data and provides the video data via a communication resource to a client. The method includes monitoring one or both of communication and computation constraint conditions associated with the graphics rendering engine and the communication resource. At least one rendering parameter used by the graphics rendering engine is set based upon a level of communication constraint or computation constraint. Monitoring and setting are repeated to adapt rendering based upon changes in one or both of communication and computation constraints. In preferred embodiments, encoding adaptation also responds to bit rate constraints and rendering is optimized based upon a given bit rate. Rendering parameters and their effect on communication and computation costs have been determined and optimized.
