  • Patent number: 11916727
Abstract: Disclosed are a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method for event messaging over a network. An identification module receives first data identifying consumer devices available to receive event messages linked to a topic. The identification module receives second data identifying a producer device available to provide event messages linked to the topic. A provisioning module links a plurality of values to respective consumer devices that are linked to the topic. A scheduler module accesses a first data message linked to the topic. The first data message includes a key value. The scheduler module provides the first data message to a selected one of the consumer devices based on a comparison of the key value and the plurality of values of the respective consumer devices.

  • Publication number: 20240031294
Abstract: Disclosed are a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method for event messaging over a network. A subscription interface receives data indicative of a subscription request for sessionized data. An allocation module allocates a sessionizer bank linked to the subscription request. A messaging interface module provisions identifiers linked to the respective processing engines of the sessionizer bank. The messaging interface module registers the allocated sessionizer bank as available to process event messages matching the subscription request by providing the provisioned identifiers. The messaging interface module receives event messages from a producer device linked by a collection server to a selected one of the processing engines of the sessionizer bank. The selected one of the processing engine processes the received event messages in accordance with session rule data linked to the subscription request to generate sessionized data.

  • Patent number: 9686330
Abstract: In a multicast publisher-subscriber environment, a plurality of receiver machines are managed by a configurator machine. A consumer address of a receiver machine is received from a configurator machine. The consumer address is generated by the configurator machine based on registration data transmitted by the receiver machine. A communication is generated based on the consumer address, the communication indicating an availability of the receiver machine to receive messages that correspond to a topic. The communication is transmitted via a network, and in response to the communication, at least one message is received.

  • Publication number: 20160219089
Abstract: Disclosed are a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method for providing partial views of event streams over a network. A subscription manager receives subscription data from a client device. A messaging interface module receives an event stream comprising event messages. A normalizer converts the received event stream to a table of entries. The entries correspond to respective event messages. A view processor selects a portion of the converted first event stream based at least on the entries of the selected portion of the event stream matching the subscription data. The view processor provides the selected portion of the converted event stream for transmission as session data to the subscriber.

  • Patent number: 8817790
Abstract: A mechanism is disclosed for identifying, classifying, and controlling flows in a network. In one implementation, a separate set of behavioral statistics is maintained for each flow. These behavioral statistics are updated as packets belonging to a flow are processed. Whenever a packet belonging to a flow is processed, a set of policies that the flow's behavioral statistics satisfy is determined. For each policy that the flow's behavioral statistics satisfy, actions that are associated with that policy are applied relative to the packet. The actions may be designed to cause a router to handle, in a user-specified manner, packets that are likely to represent a particular kind of traffic. Thus, different flows, such as VOIP, gaming, streaming, and P2P flows, which are associated with different behavioral statistics, may be handled in ways applicable for the specific application traffic type.
