Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides a wireless client capable of connection management using wireless client position specific information, wherein the position specific information is determined by the wireless client communicating with a mobile device in proximity to the wireless client that has knowledge of the mobile devices position. Alternatively, position specific information could be obtained from the Access points OR networks through beacons (OR probe request/response) during the network scan of the wireless client.
