  • Patent number: 5112042
Abstract: A document transfer system for receiving a cluster of stacked documents within the first end of an output holder and, by using movable partitions, advancing the clusters to the second end of the output holder, thereby permitting a next document cluster to be received within the output holder at the first end. A document cluster at the second end of the output holder is then, using extendable and retractable gates, transferred from the output holder to a separate holder for further processing.

  • Patent number: 5097960
Abstract: A method and apparatus for increasing the throughput of a multiple pass document sorting device that sorts documents into a plurality of output holders by automatically displacing the sorted documents within the receiving areas of each output holder into a transitional area to make the receiving areas available. In this manner a next sorting pass may be initiated, using documents from the transitional area from the output holders, without the need to empty all of the output holders before a sorting pass can be initiated.

  • Patent number: 4974317
Abstract: A thermal heat transfer member is disclosed for use in electronic or microwave systems with particular application to advanced avionic systems. This thermal heat transfer member for line replaceable module (LRM) comprises; a bottom cover, a grid partition bottom means, a solid thermal plane material fixedly interconnected to the grid partition bottom means, a grid partition top means fixedly interconnected upon the thermal plane, sandwiching the thermal plane between the grid partition top and the grid partition bottom, and finally, a top cover. The utilization of a "building block" approach and composite high strength heat-conductive materials designed to dissipate heat away from electronic devices and components mounted within the LRM operate to produce a radio frequency LRM of high heat conductivity with reduced weight ideal for utilization in advanced development avionic systems subject to extreme G-force and stress in avionic system operation.

  • Patent number: 4926287
Abstract: A spring-loaded, hand-operated line replaceable module lever is disclosed for use with a plug-in type electronic module in aircraft having a construction adapted for easy installation in or removal from a mating chassis by a person on the flight line even while wearing heavy or bulky gloves. The structure includes a lever/driver blade with an enlarged pivoting thumb grip, which is spring loaded toward the open position, for grasping between thumb and forefinger when the installation cover is removed.

  • Patent number: 4502475
Abstract: A drill guide device for bone plate fixation, consisting of an elongated drill guide block having a longitudinal recess for receiving and positioning a bone plate having screw openings. The guide block has spaced openings axially aligned with the bone plate screw openings and containing removable drill guide bushings. The guide block is longitudinally slotted at its ends for adjustable attachment to clamp blocks carrying respective bone-engaging scissor clamp assemblies connected by tie rods. The tie rods have oppositely threaded ends which are threadedly engaged with the respective clamp blocks. The tie rods have hexagonal center portions shaped for driving engagement by a wrench. The scissor clamp assemblies have upstanding opposite top handle portions connected by clamping screws, each clamping screw being pivotally connected to one handle portion and extending through the opposite handle portion. The outer end portion of each clamping screw is provided with a clamping nut.
