Abstract: A method and system for non-rigidly registering a fixed to a moving image utilizing a B-Spline based free form deformation (FFD) model is disclosed. The methodology utilizes sparse feature correspondences to estimate an elastic deformation field in a closed form. In a multi-resolution manner, the method is able to recover small to large non-rigid deformations. The resulting deformation field is globally smooth and guarantees one-to-one mapping between the images being registered.

Abstract: An online reservation processing system comprises a receiving module and a translating module. The receiving module receives a reservation application datum, which comprises an initial time and a final time. In addition, the translating module separates a period from the initial time to the final time into a plurality of sub-periods, and separates the reservation application datum into a plurality of reservation application sub-data according to the sub-periods. The time-length of each sub-period equals a default time-length. An online reservation processing method applied with the online reservation processing system is also provided.

Abstract: An online reservation processing system, which has a daylight saving time function, comprises a receiving module and a modulating module. The receiving module receives a set of reserving application data. The set of reserving application data at least comprises date information and time information. The modulating module modulates the time information to produce modulated time information according to daylight-saving-time information and the date information.

Abstract: An on-line reservation method, storage medium with computer program and system for making a reservation for public facilities. A server is composed of a processor for performing a reservation transaction on public facilities by executing a program stored in a storage media. The staff log-in information, the operating instructions and approved reservation records of the public facilities are stored in the storage media connected to the processor. A client, being the terminal equipment, is used by the staff to connect the server by a network for submitting a reservation request for public facilities. Before making a reservation of the public facilities, an applicant checks the operating instructions and the approved reservation records.

Abstract: A system for facilitating the control of body weight of a user includes a hand-held computing device having weight control software executing thereon for maintaining a meal plan for the user. The hand-held computing device includes a comprehensive information database having comprehensive information relating to a plurality of at least one of foods, exercises and meals stored thereon, a favorites information database having favorites information relating to at least one of favorite foods, favorite exercises and favorite meals of the user stored thereon, the favorites information being a subset of the comprehensive information, a display operable to present to the user the meal plan and the favorites information, and an input/output device operable to provide an interface for the user to operate the weight control software in order to select at least one favorite food, favorite exercise or favorite meal from the favorites information so as to manipulate the meal plan.

Abstract: A system and method for facilitating weight control provides dieters with the ability to maintain food consumption within the general rules of a weight control program and to maintain motivation in following these rules, incorporates a hand-held computing device to facilitate use of the system, provides the ability to update at least some information on either a server portion of the system or the hand-held computing device and then to synchronize the pertinent information therebetween at a later time, does not rely solely upon costly and often unreliable wireless communications, is not cumbersome to use, and is conducive to keeping information up-to-date.

Abstract: A network switch chip and a method for controlling the same are proposed. A first network switch chip is cascaded with a second network switch chip. Each of the network switch chip comprises a high-speed network port and a plurality of connection ports. The two network switch chips are connected through the two high-speed network ports to form a direct link therebetween, and the network switch provides a transmission rate equal to the sum of transmission rates of the first connection ports and the second connection ports. The two network switch chips can update an operation status for each other through the direct link and whereby the first network switch chip and the second network switch can manage data exchange therebetween. Each of the network switch chips has a lookup table therein and the network switch chips can update the lookup table for each other.
