Abstract: A data writer may be configured with a write pole that has one or more sidewalls continuously extending from an air bearing surface. A write pole sidewall can have a plurality of different wall angles. A portion of a write pole sidewall contacting the air bearing surface can have a first wall angle with respect to a trailing edge of the write pole, parallel to the air bearing surface. A second portion of the write pole sidewall can be half or less of the first wall angle. A third portion of the write pole sidewall can be smaller than the second wall angle.

Abstract: A method of improving voltage detection accuracy and precision by employing a switchable resistor epi bias design, which consists of switches to control connection of resistor epi bias. By constantly maintaining the resistor epi bias to its own resistor terminal bias via switches, higher accuracy detection than conventional resistor bias method can be achieved.

When the equipment is a starch carrying tray, the moulding mix contains 5-50% of magnetic filler, such as magnetite. Reinforcement with glass fibre and jute fibre modifies the compositions for moulding the trays. Moulding mixes based on polypropylene and thermosetting resins are described. A processing line using starch trays has a conveyor for food items and a conveyor for the starch in which the food items are moulded. Both have magnetic separators.

Abstract: Contaminants in food or pharmaceuticals derived from the handling equipment are detected by known detection devices in product flow by the method of detecting particulate magnetic mineral dispersed in the handling equipment or the film used to wrap the food. The minerals magnetic field is detected and the signal generated thereby causes rejection of the product which contains the contamination. A method of making moulded parts of the handling equipment and wrapping film by incorporation of ferrimagnetic ceramic fillers is disclosed. Compositions for moulding and film extrusion with 10-50% of magnetite and other magnetic fillers with a size range of 0.5-20? are disclosed.
