    Abstract: A method of reducing itch in a subject's skin is disclosed. The method includes initiating a heat-generating reaction in a pad of material, so that a contact surface of the pad of material reaches a pad temperature effective for reducing the subject's skin itch. The contact surface of the pad is placed in contact with the subject's itching skin, and the temperature of the subject's itching skin is raised to a minimum skin temperature for a period of time sufficient to reduce the subject's skin itch.
