  • Patent number: 12110074
Abstract: A bicycle training aid device comprising a cantilevered handle member for grasping by a user and guiding and/or supporting a bicycle, the cantilevered handle member disposed laterally adjacent to and extending in a direction outwardly away from a rear wheel of the bike and is retained on the frame of the bicycle using a plurality of attachment plates, wherein the plurality of attachment plates are configured to be coupled together with fasteners and each having a plurality clips configured to receive frame members on the frame of the bicycle.

  • Patent number: 10926822
Abstract: A bicycle training aid device comprising a cantilevered handle member extending outwardly away from the bicycle and disposed laterally adjacent to the rear wheel using at least two clamping members. The clamping members may compress and extend to accommodate a range of different bicycles and to thereafter lock into place using at least two locking pins. The bicycle training aid device allows a second person, generally positioned to the rider's side or rear, to hold the bicycle steady by maneuvering the cantilevered handle member, thereby helping the person riding the bicycle maintain the proper balance needed for a smooth and continuous ride. In this way, the bicycle training aid also grants the second person a more effortless and accessible point of contact during use.

  • Publication number: 20190250859
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing data at a gateway device receiving sensor data is discussed. An in-memory persistent database can provide a common application programming interface (API) for pushing data from one or more drivers that receive sensor data over various communication protocols. The common API can also be utilized by a data sender application to pull data from the in-memory persistent database and send the pulled data to a remote server such as a cloud storage. The in-memory persistent database stores the sensor data in time ordered pipeline data structures. A configuration data structure is maintained for each set of sensors and can be accessed and modified using the common API.

  • Publication number: 20190154088
Abstract: A coupling disc (40) is disclosed for coupling a rotating electrical machine to a prime mover. The disc comprises an inner region (42) for connection to a rotating component of the electrical machine, and an outer region (46) for connection to a rotating component of the prime mover, the inner region and the outer region lying in a different plane. The disc further comprises an intermediate region (42) between the inner region and the outer region, the intermediate region comprising a plurality of slots (52). This may allow two or more discs to be stacked together in such a way that interference between the surface profiles of adjacent discs is reduced or avoided. Furthermore, the slots in the intermediate region may reduce the strain placed on the material when forming the disc, thereby facilitating manufacture.

  • Publication number: 20140239757
Abstract: A motor/generator unit is disclosed which is arranged to be fitted in the drive train of a vehicle, such as a hybrid vehicle. The unit comprises an electrical machine (10, 12) and a housing arrangement (14, 16). The housing arrangement comprises an inner housing (14) arranged to accommodate the electrical machine, and an outer housing (16) arranged to fit around the inner housing. This can allow the electrical machine to be provided as a self-contained unit suitable for use in different applications.

  • Publication number: 20070157534
Abstract: A collapsible goods container has a rectangular base panel (10) with two hinge lines (37,38) extending between the width edges (17,18), parallel to the length edges (15,16) and disposed in the central region of the base panel. A first side wall (11) is hinged to a first length edge (15) of the base panel, the height of the side wall being not greater than one half of the length of a width edge (17) of the base panel. A second side wall (12) is connected to the first side wall (11) by opposed pairs of end walls (13,14) hinged to the side walls, each end wall having a fold line (23) disposed substantially centrally between the first and second side walls and substantially parallel to the common edges of the respective end and side walls. Fasteners (44) are provided to connect together the base panel and the adjacent edge of the second side wall, when the container is fully erected.

  • Patent number: 6484433
Abstract: A fishing device that securely supports a fishing rod with a high degree of stability is described. The device functions to provide greater convenience for the shore fisherman and further provides a choice as to the size and type of ballast device used as an anchor for the fishing device. Additionally, the fishing device provides a means to adjust the inclination of a fishing rod relative to the earth for unattended fishing. The aforementioned benefits are achieved accomplished by providing a portable fishing device encompassing a large preferably circular ring upon which a fishing bait container (or any other weighted ballast member) is placed. Extending symmetrical outwards and on the same plane as the ring is a primary bar, attached to which are two arms: an adjustment arm and a fishing rod holding arm. A secondary bar is attached perpendicularly and symmetrically at the end of the primary bar to provide an even higher degree of lateral stability.
