  • Patent number: 11247001
Abstract: A delivery device for use in administering a dry powder to a biological subject's airway is provided. The device comprises (a) a housing having an inlet in fluid communication with an outlet for delivering a flow of gas to the subject's airway; and (b) one or more cantilever structures located within the housing. Vibration of the one or more cantilever structures facilitates entry of the dry powder into the flow of gas, such that the dry powder can be delivered by the flow of gas through the outlet to the subject's airway. Also provided is a container for releasably storing a particulate composition, the container comprising a shell sealed by a seal in which the particulate composition is stored, wherein a puncturing device for rupturing the seal to release the particulate composition is housed within the shell. Further provided are associated methods for administering dry powder using the delivery device and/or container.

  • Patent number: 10785963
Abstract: A method of growing shellfish is disclosed. The method comprises obtaining a support tray (I) with recesses (7) where at least some of the recesses (7) incorporate means adapted to create a deliberately formed alphanumeric, written or pictorial mark on the shellfish as it grows. Shellfish spat are attached to at least some of the recesses (7) and the tray (I) is placed in water so that the spat grow into substantially mature shellfish within the recesses (7). The spat each grow generally in the shape of their respective recess (7) so that the mark is created on the shellfish as it grows.

  • Publication number: 20180265367
Abstract: A method of hydrogenating a halosilane comprises: contacting a halosilane having the formula HaSiX(4-a), wherein a has a value of 0 to 4, and each X is independently a halogen atom and wherein if a is 0, the halosilane further comprises a hydrogen source, with a catalyst composition comprising at least two different metals, wherein the at least two different metals are selected from Cu and one of Co, Fe, Ni, and Pd; wherein the ratio of Cu to the second metal in the catalyst composition is 90:10 to 10:90; wherein the contacting is conducted at a temperature sufficient to hydrogenate a halosilane; and wherein an increase in the amount of halosilane hydrogenated is observed as compared to a method with a catalyst composition comprising one metal at the same overall loading of metal in the catalyst composition.

  • Publication number: 20150196321
Abstract: A cannula including a hollow cannula body having first and second tubular end portions, a collapsible section interconnecting the end portions, the collapsible section including a plurality of circumferentially spaced arms extending between the end portions, wherein in an extended configuration the arms are substantially aligned with the first and second end portions and in a collapsed configuration the arms deform to extend radially outwardly and a flange extending radially outwardly from the first end portion, so that the arms and flange are spaced apart when the cannula body is in the collapsed configuration, thereby allowing tissue to be sandwiched therebetween to thereby effect a seal between the cannula and the tissue so that the cannula provides an opening through the tissue.
