Patent number: 9668593Abstract: A snap-in card top riser is provided having a riser and a display module. The riser has a hook profile that is adapted to be received into a channel on the display module so that the riser is secured to the display module in a manner that restricts removal of the riser from the display module. The channel has one or more tabs that are configured to cause the hook profile to compress while the tabs are engaging with the hook profile. A modular display tower is also provided that includes a base and one or more vertical display portions that are configurable to display different types of cards, items, and merchandise. The vertical display portions may interchangeably include curved display modules that receive one or more risers, or flat display portions, and the vertical display portions may be joined at respective edges with a bridge coupling.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2015Date of Patent: June 6, 2017Assignee: Hallmark Cards, IncorporatedInventors: Craig William Cayce, Brian Lee Wegstein, Shaun P. Patent number: 8671548Abstract: Providing a greeting card display fixture having multiple rows, one or more of which are convertible rows to allow for adjustment of the number of rows in a display. When desired, the convertible row may be used to display another row of greeting cards, increasing the density of the overall display. When not desired, the convertible row may be pushed flush against the back of the display fixture, while still attached, allowing the full depth of the row of the display fixture to be used. A divider or support clip is used to support the convertible row when in use and to hold it in a storage position when not used. The divider clip also separates greeting cards within a row. The divider clip includes a clipping mechanism to attach the divider clip to the display fixture and an adjustable portion to support an adjacent convertible row.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2012Date of Patent: March 18, 2014Assignee: Hallmark Cards, IncorporatedInventors: Todd E. Patent number: 8333284Abstract: When displayed, greeting cards are typically organized on a display fixture having multiple rows or levels upon which to sit the cards. Each row then has a front wall to hold in the card, yet is short enough to still view a portion of the greeting card above the wall. Because display fixtures are manufactured to have a specified amount of rows or levels at a specified depth, in order to adjust the specifications of a display fixture, other pieces may be used, for example, by attaching to the display fixture a convertible row to add another level or tier between set rows of the display fixture. By providing another row using a convertible row, another set of greeting cards may be displayed between cards displayed on other rows of the original display fixture, increasing the density of the overall display.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2011Date of Patent: December 18, 2012Assignee: Hallmark Cards, IncorporatedInventors: Todd E. Berry, Shaun P. Arness
