  • Patent number: 12161834
Abstract: A device to couple a vascular access device to a medical device may include a body, a spring, and a housing. The body may include a distal end, a proximal end, and a lumen extending through the distal end and the proximal end. The proximal end of the body may include a connector. The housing may be coupled to a proximal end of the spring and may enclose the connector. A distal end of the spring may be coupled to the body. The housing may include a flap, which may include an antimicrobial compound. When the housing is disposed in a proximal position, the flap may cover the connector, the antimicrobial compound may contact the connector, and the spring may be uncompressed. In response to movement of the housing from the proximal position to a distal position, the spring may be compressed and the flap may open.

  • Publication number: 20240199386
Abstract: A hoisting system for lifting objects to load them onto and unload them from a trailer bed includes a trailer bed having a stake pocket extending into an upper surface of the trailer bed. A post is removably extendable into the stake pocket such that the post is removably attached to and extends upwardly from the trailer bed. A boom is coupled to the post. A spool is rotatably mounted to the post, and a cable is wound on the spool. A drive assembly is mechanically coupled to the spool and is actuatable to rotate the spool.

  • Patent number: 9426972
Abstract: An automatic hook setting rod holder is comprised of a flat base supporting a rod holder that rotates vertically upward when a fish strikes a hook, thereby setting the hook. A torsion spring and bar assembly lies under the rod holder and is held in a pre-strike position by a trigger rod. The trigger rod is connected to the base and has a bearing surface to hold the loaded torsion spring and bar assembly in a pre-strike position. The trigger rod has a bent end to receive and hold the fishing line before a fish strike. Once a fish strikes, tension on the fishing line pulls and rotates the trigger rod away from the torsion spring and bar assembly, thereby releasing it and causing it to contact the rod holder, which in turn causes it to rotate upward and sets the hook in the fish's mouth.

  • Patent number: 6811190
Abstract: The present invention provides a tab-lock fastener for connecting first and second vent pipes typically used to exhaust products of combustion of natural gas appliances. The tab-lock fastener includes a guide and a tab-lock receptacle formed on a male end of the first vent pipe, an engaging tab formed on a female end of the second vent pipe, and a locking tab formed on the female end of the second vent pipe. The first and second vent pipes are assembled by inserting the male end of the first vent pipe into the female end of the second vent pipe so that the engaging tab is received in the guide and twisting one of the vent pipes with respect to the other vent pipe. The locking tab engages a wall of the tab-lock receptacle to prevent untwisting and unwanted disconnection of the vent pipes.

  • Patent number: 5336130
Abstract: An exhauster arm assembly for capturing gaseous fumes which comprises a base member connected to a support structure, a hood member, a plurality of rigid tubular sections disposed between the base member and the hood member, and a plurality of flexible tubular sections interconnecting the base member, the rigid tubular sections and the hood member such that fluid communication is provided between the base members and the hood member. A plurality of joint assemblies pivotally support the hood member and the rigid tubular sections. An actuator, controlled from a switch assembly located on the hood member, is mounted on the base member and the adjacent rigid tubular section to precisely position the hood member.

  • Patent number: 5281246
Abstract: An air cleaner assembly for capturing and filtering fumes is provided which comprises a housing having an inlet and an outlet, a pair of filter cartridges supported therein and a blower. A channel and baffle assembly direct the flow of air drawn into the housing in a vortical pattern around the filter cartridges to separate heavier particles in the air and to efficiently draw the air through the filter cartridges. The separated particles collect in a pair of dust trays that are provided with flow directional lips to prevent the vortical air flow from disturbing the deposited particles. A backflushing assembly cleans the filter cartridges of the particles that are collected thereon by pulsing the particles away with a blast of air directed through the entire length of the filter cartridges.
