Abstract: A system and method for monitoring and controlling the sale of products to customers is disclosed. The system may include a database for storing the information necessary to control and monitor the sale of products. The system may also include one or more user interfaces for interacting with the database, including a merchant user interface, a law enforcement user interface, a healthcare regulator user interface, and/or an administrator user interface. The user interfaces may be any combination of hardware and software that enable the user to submit information to, and view information from, the database in conformance with the user's access privileges.
