  • Patent number: 8850622
Abstract: A safety helmet includes damping elements for example made from expanded polystyrene added onto a shell made from an elastically deformable material. The whole of the surface, facing the shell, of the damping elements arranged along the periphery of the opening is positioned against the shell to form an inner supporting belt completely in contact with the shell. The helmet is arranged in such a way that a position of the head in the cavity of the helmet causes a deformation of the supporting belt by elastic deformation of the shell according to the morphology of the head, generating permanent tightening of the supporting belt against the head in substantially uniform manner along the supporting belt.

    Filed: February 11, 2010
Date of Patent: October 7, 2014
    Assignee: Kuji Sports Ltd.

  • Patent number: 6217041
Abstract: The support structure is formed essentially by two support bands which are each assigned to one longitudinal edge of the snowboard. A central strip remaining therebetween is, at least at the longitudinal ends of the snowboard, designed to be very flexible in such a manner that the longitudinal ends of one support band can bend in the upward or downward direction of the snowboard as independently as possible of the longitudinal ends of the other support band.

  • Patent number: 5975557
Abstract: A calf rest arranged tiltably about a transverse axis on a heel stirrup or heel part of a snowboard binding or of a snowboard boot has, to limit the tiltability, an adjustable stop arrangement which interacts with the heel stirrup or heel part. This stop arrangement is arranged on the calf-side inner side of the calf rest, so that the stability of the mounting of the stop arrangement on the calf rest is increased by pressure of the calf against the calf rest.
