The data storage server may send the media file to the first device from the data storage server, and the first device may play back the media file where the second device left off.

The audiovisual upmixing model can include a sequence-to-sequence model configured to model a respective location of one or more audio sources within the larger scene over multiple frames of the video data. The computer-implemented method can include receiving upmixed audio data from the audiovisual upmixing model. The upmixed audio data can have a second number of audio channels. The second number of audio channels can be greater than the first number of audio channels.

In one embodiment, an audio user interface implementing certain aspects of the present disclosure may devolve or evolve the verbosity of audio feedback in response to user interface events based at least partially upon the verbosity level of audio feedback provided during previous occurrences of the user interface event. In another embodiment, an audio user interface may be configured to vary the verbosity of audio feedback associated with a navigable list of items based at least partially upon the speed at which a user navigates the list. In a further embodiment, an audio user interface may be configured to vary audio feedback verbosity based upon the contextual importance of a user interface event. Electronic devices implementing the present techniques provide an improved user experience with regard to audio user interfaces.

Abstract: Speakers (e.g. “loudspeakers”) from different manufactures may have differing characteristics. In order to improve audio performance, an audio system may customize audio settings based on characteristics of an attached speaker. Described is a technique for determining speaker characteristics by sending a signal through a filter of the attached speaker. The signal may be a probing signal that produces no audible effect from the speaker. The signal may progress through one or more frequency ranges and an impedance signature may be measured. When the signal progresses through a frequency range, the impedance may be measured and a speaker model type and/or characteristics or condition of the speaker may be determined based on the measured impedance.

Abstract: Doors such as garage doors can be automated by pushing commands to a removable device attached to the garage door. The state of the door (e.g. whether the door is open or closed) may be obtained from a position sensor located within a removable device. An implementation may indicate, over a wireless network, the state of the door to a user. The user may send a command to a wireless transmitter located within the device to change the state of the door. An implementation may also send a signal to the door to change the state of the door.
