  • Patent number: 12223205
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods and devices for controlling output of a storage device during read operations. The method comprises: measuring a length of a temporal gap between first and second consecutive read bursts from a storage device, the first and second read burst are in response to first and second read commands received by the storage device, respectively; generating a state code according to the length, wherein the state code has a first value when the length is zero, a second value when the length is equal to or shorter than a threshold time length but is non-zero, and a third value when the length is greater than the threshold time length; and controlling output of the storage device according to the state code.

  • Publication number: 20240394749
Abstract: A cost-focused determination of whether to deliver an electronic advertisement or notice to a particular user can be made through a cumulative consideration of the predicted return on investment over each of a plurality of electronic channels. A plurality of channel-specific budget values are calculated for the user, one for each channel, each setting an upper spending limit for advertisement to the user over that channel based on the user's information and their activity on the channel. A global budget is calculated for the user using a weighted aggregation of the channel-specific values, information about the user and their activity with the advertiser, and consideration of “overlap” effects of advertising to the same user on several channels. When managing whether to deliver an advertisement over a channel, if the channel-specific value is lower than the global budget, the advertisement is delivered, and the global budget is decreased by a complementary amount.

  • Patent number: 12017078
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to implantable medical devices (IMDs) and methods for use therewith. Such a method includes using an accelerometer of an IMD (e.g., a leadless pacemaker) to produce one or more accelerometer outputs indicative of the orientation of the IMD. The method can also include the IMD using an accelerometer to identify when the orientation of the IMD is such that the IMD will likely be able to successfully communicate with another IMD via one or more communication pulses sent from the IMD to the other IMD. The method also includes the IMD sending of the one or more communication pulses, that are used to communicate with the other IMD, when the orientation of the IMD is such that the IMD will likely be able to successfully communicate with the other IMD via one or more communication pulses sent from the IMD to the other IMD.

  • Patent number: 11957916
Abstract: Implantable medical devices (IMDs), systems, and methods for use therewith are disclosed. One such method is for use by a leadless pacemaker (LP) configured to perform conductive communication with another implantable medical device (IMD). The method includes the LP storing information that specifies when, within a cardiac cycle, the LP and the other IMD implanted in a patient are likely oriented relative to one another such that conductive communication therebetween should be successful. The method also includes the LP sensing a signal indicative of cardiac activity of the patient over a plurality of cardiac cycles, and outputting one or more conductive communication pulses, during a portion of at least one of the cardiac cycles, wherein the portion of the at least one of the cardiac cycles is identified based on the signal that is sensed and the information that is stored.

  • Publication number: 20240075282
Abstract: A biostimulator and a biostimulator system for septal pacing, is described. The biostimulator includes a joint to allow an electrode to pivot relative to a housing. The housing contains electrical circuitry that is electrically connected to the pacing electrode. The joint allows the pacing electrode to affix to target tissue of an interventricular septal wall of a heart when the housing is pivoted toward an apex of the heart. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20230310868
Abstract: A biostimulator and a biostimulator system for septal pacing, is described. The biostimulator includes an articulation to allow an electrode axis of a pacing electrode to be directed differently than a housing axis of a housing. The housing contains electrical circuitry that is electrically connected to the pacing electrode. The differently directed axes allow the pacing electrode to affix to target tissue of an interventricular septal wall of a heart when the housing of the biostimulator is located near an apex of the heart. The articulation can include a flexible portion of an extension, a hinge, or a tether. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20230230183
Abstract: Highly user-specific data is used to calculate user intent to make a purchase and the value of such a purchase. User activity and information is aggregated, per user, for a set window of time and real-time data on recent site behavior is obtained. Aggregated and/or real-time data is considered by a predictive intent model (calculating the probability that the user will make a purchase) and a predictive value model (calculating the expected revenue such a purchase may generate). Weights, specific to each model, are assigned to predictor features tracked in the aggregated and/or real-time user data. The most highly-weighted features of the intent model relate to users' viewing history, and the most highly-weighted features of the value model relate to price and market. By these means, a user conversion value can be obtained, guiding the application of user acquisition strategies for different home sharing markets.

  • Patent number: 11642536
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to implantable medical devices (IMDs) and methods for use therewith. Such a method includes using an accelerometer of an IMD (e.g., a leadless pacemaker) to produce one or more accelerometer outputs indicative of the orientation of the IMD. The method can also include controlling communication pulse parameter(s) of one or more communication pulses (produced by pulse generator(s)) based on accelerator output(s) indicative of the orientation of the IMD. The communication pulse parameter(s) that is/are controlled can be, e.g., communication pulse amplitude, communication pulse width, communication pulse timing, and/or communication pulse morphology. Such embodiments can be used to improve conductive communications between IMDs whose orientation relative to one another may change over time, e.g., due to changes in posture and/or due to cardiac motion over a cardiac cycle.
