  • Publication number: 20250067113
Abstract: An astragal housing includes a housing frame and an interior cover. The housing frame includes a vertically extending mounting wall defining a mounting surface configured for external attachment along a non-hinged vertical edge of a passive door panel, inner and outer vertically extending latch channel walls extending from the mounting wall in a first direction to define a vertically extending latch channel opposite the mounting surface, and inner and outer vertically extending door channel walls extending from the mounting wall in a second direction opposite the first direction to define a vertically extending door channel including the mounting surface. The interior cover has a first hook portion extending over a distal edge of the inner latch channel wall and a second hook portion extending over a distal edge of the inner door channel wall, the interior cover defining an inner lateral surface of the astragal housing.

  • Publication number: 20230339525
Abstract: A system and method are for controlling a train traveling along track blocks. A first signal transmitter is installed at a first track block and transmits, using a predefined range of transmission frequencies, first signals for detecting when the train enters the first track block. A second signal transmitter is installed at an adjacent second track block and transmits, using a predefined range of transmission frequencies different from the predefined range of transmission frequencies used by the first signal transmitter, second signals for detecting when the train enters the second track block. One or more signal receivers on board of the train are configured to receive the transmitted first and second signals, and an onboard controller is configured, based on signals supplied by the one or more receivers indicative of the first and second signals received, to identify when the train enters the first or second track blocks.

  • Patent number: 11702119
Abstract: A method is for determining a status of a track section of a railroad. Each end of the track section is connected to a respective detector. One of the two detectors transmits a current along the rails of the track section towards the other detector and receives a current transmitted along the rails of the track section from the other detector. The track section is further equipped with a computer in communication with the two detectors. The computer calculates an instant value of the status of the track section as a function of an instant vector based on a measure of an intensity of the current transmitted by a first of the detectors as measured by the first detector (Txl1), a measure of an intensity of the current received by the first detector as measured by the first detector (Rxl1) and a measure of an intensity of the current transmitted by the second detector as measured by the second detector (Txl2).

  • Patent number: 11643122
Abstract: A wayside to railway vehicle communication method including providing a first wayside device with a transmitter device capable of transmitting a data packet message to a railway vehicle travelling along a section of a railway track, through an electric waveform put into a rail of the section, and sending at least one message from the transmitter device to the railway vehicle, wherein the at least one message corresponds to the conversion of the data packet into a modulated electric waveform, the data packet including several data bits providing information relative to a plurality of speed limits the railway vehicle has to respect while travelling along respective portions of the section.

  • Publication number: 20220106620
Abstract: The present invention is related to the field of protein chemistry. In particular, mixed buffer compositions are formulated that allow an accurate identification of agent-induced changes in protein melting point temperatures. Such buffer compositions provide for methods that determine the specific effects of exogenous agents on protein stability, cryoprotective effects and/or protein quality control (e.g., synthesis and/or extraction purity validations).

  • Patent number: 10986962
Abstract: A fire table provides an aesthetic table surface while allowing for cooking over the fire using a removable cooking mount. The removable cooking mount is placed in a pan in an opening in the top of the fire table. The pan has a filler material to hide the burner assembly and acts to secure the removable cooking mount. A lazy susan can be used to cover the opening in the fire table when not in use for aesthetic and functional purposes.

  • Publication number: 20150158263
Abstract: An embossing method and apparatus utilizes 3D printing by digitally dispensing\ink jet printing to apply texturing features to a work roll or a sheet that may be fed into a rolling mill to emboss sheet material like aluminum alloy sheet. The printed pattern is highly variable and may be produced quickly and easily allowing low volume embossing. The printed pattern may be removed from a work roll after use to allow the roll to be reused. Alternatively, a sheet receives the printed pattern, is rolled and then the printed material removed from the resultant depression.

  • Patent number: 9041929
Abstract: An apparatus for securing a diagnostic tool proximate to and in front of a display device between the corners thereof. A harness is adapted to releasably hold the diagnostic tool, a restraining bracket extends from the harness, and there is at least one elastic cord having a first end, an intermediate portion and a second end. The cord is threaded through the restraining bracket and is sized so as to impart elastic tension to the corners of the display device while concomitantly protecting the front surface from pressure due to the position of the harness and diagnostic tool.

  • Patent number: 8869044
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed that allow a user to efficiently move their online presence from a current location in a virtual world to a target location near a friend or character. The target location may be in another instance of the virtual world or in another virtual world. Further, the movement of the user—referred to as a jump—may be in response to a request from the user to jump their online presence to the target location of a friend or character. In the other direction, a user can send a “jump to me” request to their friends.
