Abstract: Attic fire protection systems and methods for the protection of sloped attic spaces having large roof spans over eighty feet up to one hundred feet (80-100 ft.). The systems and method provide for a five-branch system with sprinklers having a directional spray interleaved between sprinklers having a uniform radial spray at the peak ridge and sprinklers having a uniform radial spray at the eave of the attic space. The systems and methods define a hydraulic demand with a total flow rate of under 175 GPM.

Abstract: Attic fire protection sprinklers for protection of the eave regions of the attic space. The eave sprinkler has a fluid deflector for generating a directional spray with a horizontal throw of up to twenty-eight feet (28 ft.). The deflector includes a base having a leading edge with a flap extending angularly from the leading edge of the base. The flap forms a discharge channel that widens in the radial direction from the sprinkler axis. The flap includes a central canopy portion and a pair of sidewalls disposed about the central canopy portion. An attic fire protection system is provided that includes the eave sprinkler to provide a maximum roof span of protection of up to eighty feet (80 ft.) and a roof slope of protection that ranges from 2½:12 to 6:12.

Abstract: A cutting board has an upper body, legs, and a drain pan. The top surface of the upper body has sloped dual, nested, concentric drain-grooves leading to a drain formed in the top surface. A first wide, shallow groove has a concentric deep, narrow a groove formed therein. A drain pan, housed below the drain in a space below the upper body. The drain pad has a rim that slides in and out of the front of the cutting board in tracks formed by slots in top surfaces of inner corners of the legs. The drain pan slides into the cutting board until the rim reaches stop points at the ends of the slots.

Abstract: A customizable respiratory protection device, including a mouth portion, including a mouth body to cover a mouth and a nose of a user, a filter receiving portion disposed on at least a portion of a rear surface of the mouth body to store an air filter therein, and an aperture disposed on an end of the filter receiving portion to receive the air filter therethrough, an attachment portion to cover eyes and a forehead of the user; and at least one fastener removably disposed on at least a portion of the mouth body to receive the attachment portion thereon, such that the attachment portion connects to the mouth body.

Abstract: A fire protection sprinkler assembly having a frame that includes a pair of frame arms configured with a geometry that strengthens the frame arms to resist impact, shear and/or torsional loads. The sprinkler assembly can be configured for installation in any one of an upright sprinkler, a pendent sprinkler, horizontal sidewall sprinkler or a recessed sprinkler.

Abstract: An insert for a vehicle console is provided. The insert includes a frame having first and second opposing retention flanges, each first retention flange being hingedly supported from the frame, such that each retention flange is capable of rotating away from the frame. A support strut is also provided for restraining the retention flanges from pivoting away from a position extending beyond the access opening of said vehicle console. Removal of a lockable lid connected with the frame becomes almost impossible without total destruction of the vehicle console.

Abstract: A source well divider for use with a nuclear level gauge on a process vessel 24, permits the insertion of multiple radiation sources 12 in the source well. The divider includes a plurality of lengths of flexible interlocked metallic tubing 18, each length extending into the source well 22 from a nozzle in the vessel 24, forming a plurality of independent sub-wells each permitting the installation of an independently cabled radiation source 12 into the source well.

Abstract: A mechanically isolating mounting for use with a level sensing gauge (12) comprises damping material (22a, 22b) positioned exterior to the metal primary housing and between a primary housing of the gauge and a gauge mounting (13, 20, 20a), such that the damping material isolates the gauge mechanically from vibration and shock delivered through the gauge mounting. The gauge housing may comprise a mounting plate (13) or a metal enclosure (20, 20a) surrounding the primary housing and forming an outer housing.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for diagnosing heart failure are disclosed. They include monitoring a subject's pulsatile blood flow with a non-invasive probe during a Valsalva maneuver (VM), processing data therefrom to calculate fall in flow, hear rate changes, Rebound, and heart stroke volume during the VM. Monitored and calculated results are compared to defined thresholds and interpreted and reported. The apparatus takes the form of a pulsatile blood flow probe on a finger or toe or in a mouthpiece facilitating the VM, the mouthpiece optionally including a pressure transducer or digital monometer to ensure that the subject is performing the VM within required pressure and time ranges. The method and apparatus include a controller or digital processor for processing and reporting the results of the monitoring, calculations, comparisons, interpretation, and reporting of the diagnostic results.

The enclosure device includes a front panel and a generally planar deck panel that extends from the front panel. The deck panel includes a pair of pair of spaced apart left and right sides that are adapted for extending over the wheel wells and the sidewalls. The deck panel also includes an aft edge that is adapted for extending to a location directly below an upper lip of the aft end of the cargo area when the front panel is adapted for fastening to the vehicle. At least one of the spaced apart left and right sides includes an abutment edge that is adapted for being positioned next to the sport cage upright, so that the secured enclosure area is created below the deck panel.

Specifically, this invention is providing an extended crotch opening for the purpose of relieving bodily wastes in an unsecure area, all the while staying as visually clothed as possible. The zipper opening is operational with a pull cord for hand cleanliness. This undergarment establishes a low level of nudity while providing the highest level of dignity, comfort and protection so desperately needed.

Abstract: A device and method for creating a storage enclosure in a vehicle having a cargo area is disclosed. The device includes a locking mechanism includes a forward aperture of a length and an aft aperture of that is shorter than the forward aperture. The arrangement allows removal of the top panel from the locking mechanism by moving the top panel aft until the aft bushing moves out of the aft aperture, allowing the aft edge to be lifted from the aft aperture, and thus allowing the top panel to be positioned where the forward bushing may be removed from forward aperture in the forward plate or simply held at an angle to the cargo area.

Abstract: A system and method for creating a storage enclosure in a vehicle having a cargo area defined by a floor a pair of spaced apart side panels and a tailgate is disclosed. The system includes a forward bushing that is mounted from the top panel and an aft bushing that is also mounted from the top panel at a distance from the forward bushing. The system the tailgate and a locking mechanism to create a lockable, secure space. The locking mechanism includes a forward plate having a forward aperture having sides adapted for accepting the forward bushing, and an aft plate that is connected to the forward plate. The aft plate having an aft aperture adapted for accepting the aft bushing and having a stop that allows the forward bushing to travel along the forward aperture until the stop prevents the aft bushing from advancing towards the forward plate, thereby preventing the forward bushing from advancing forward and out of the forward aperture.

Abstract: A method is provided for equalizing latency among a group of connections that are being used by the same latency-sensitive application, such as for multi-player network gaming. Delay is added to the packet flow in each connection as necessary at the provider edge router connecting the application server to the network. An NMS connected to the provider edge router continuously monitors the round-trip delay of each connection, determines the additional delay of each connection required to equalize the delays, and informs the provider edge router. The provider edge router buffers traffic on each connection for the respective duration as indicated by the NMS. The NMS may also reroute some of the connections over higher latency resources to reduce the amount of buffering required, which provides the additional advantage of using what might otherwise be less used or economically less valued resources.

Abstract: A rotary latch mechanism that includes at least one support plate that pivotally supports both a latch fork and a lock cam is disclosed. The lock cam is movable from a first position where the lock cam prevents rotation of the latch fork to a second position where the lock cam does not interfere with the movement of the latch fork. A spring is attached to the latch fork and the lock cam and extends between the latch fork and the lock cam, so that the spring biases the lock cam towards the first position while biasing the latch fork to a release position.
