  • Patent number: 11165643
Abstract: Automatic detection and remediation of a noncompliant configuration of an information handling system is disclosed. A determination is made whether a triggering event has occurred that has a potential for degrading compliance of the information handling system. In response to determining that the triggering event has occurred, a configuration scan of the hardware and software of the information handling system is performed to obtain current configuration information. The current configuration information is compared to baseline configuration information that was obtained in response to a previous triggering event. Subsequently, a determination is made as to whether any changes determined in the current configuration information are non-compliant based on a comparison to compliance status information. One or more compliance remediation operations are invoked in response to determining that at least one change is non-compliant.

  • Publication number: 20210122895
Abstract: A carbon fiber-based conductive sponge for low electrode-skin impedance biosignal recordings is described. When the sponge is used with water or saline solution, no gel is required, drastically lowering the setup time for EEGs compared to classical wet electrodes. The wet sponges achieve an electrode-skin impedance as low as 2.5 k?ΒΆ when wet, making them better than state of the art gel electrodes. Additionally, even as the sponge dries, it continues to remain conductive and performs as a reliable dry electrode.

  • Patent number: 10855536
Abstract: A method, enterprise information handling system (IHS), and a computer-readable storage medium provide for mitigating a noncompliant configuration of an IHS. A determination is made whether a triggering event has occurred that has a potential for degrading compliance of the enterprise IHS. In response to determining that the triggering event has occurred, a controller performs a configuration scan of the hardware and software of the enterprise IHS to obtain current configuration information. The controller determines changes in the current configuration information based on a comparison of the current configuration information with baseline configuration information that was obtained in response to a previous triggering event. A determination is made whether any changes determined in the current configuration information are non-compliant based on a comparison to compliance status information.

  • Patent number: 10682068
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of taking biopotential measurements, with the ability to perform in high-density sensing applications. The invention is a hierarchical referencing method for the electrodes in the biopotential measurement system that is able to recover potential at each location with respect to a global reference with smaller requirements on ADC resolution, and thus with lower power and area requirements as compared to current systems.

  • Patent number: 8891870
Abstract: A method of removing a hyperspectral signature from at least one hyperspectral image, includes among other things, selecting a hyperspectral signature and determining a dissimilarity value between each pixel in the at least one hyperspectral image and the selected at least one hyperspectral signature. If the dissimilarity value between the signature of a given pixel in the at least one hyperspectral image and the selected at least one hyperspectral signature is less than a predetermined threshold value then the value of the signature for the given pixel is set to zero to create a signature-subtracted hyperspectral image.

  • Patent number: 8622479
Abstract: A method and apparatus for horizon control in a mining operation where fresh product 3 is cut from a seam 1. The cutting exposes a fresh cut product face 25. The fresh cut product face 25 is observed at a position immediately adjacent a cutter 11. Any temperature contrast regions from an IR observation between an upper limit of observation and a lower limit of observation are noted. At least one height co-ordinate position of a temperature contrast region 33 is determined and an output signal provided of the determined height co-ordinate position so that the output signal can be used as a horizon datum for horizontal control.

  • Patent number: 8240773
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for determining structural change in a mining operation. A first scan of gateroad surfaces is obtained and information of the scan profile is stored. At a later time a second scan of the gateroad surfaces is then obtained. Information of the scans can be registered and any difference noted. If the difference exceeds a threshold a warning can be provided indicating a gateroad structural change that may be hazardous. The scans can be made from a single sensor, or from multiple sensors (301, 303). In the case where the sensors (301, 303) are mounted on a gateroad traversing structure (109), the distance of spacing of the sensors (301, 303) can be used to determine when the sensor (303) has reached a position of movement or travel of the gateroad traversing structure (109) where the scan from sensor (301) was made. A distance sensor (309) can be provided to determine the distance of movement and where the scans coincide.

  • Patent number: 7297384
Abstract: A laminated metallized film apparatus being fabricated through the use of roll-to-roll lamination machinery (e.g. using a gravure cylinder) which through the use of various combinations of adhesive, pressure, and temperature bonds various materials and substrates together, producing a thermal radiative and insulative barrier to impinging multiple heat sources in the range of ultra-violet longwave-infrared wavelengths. In applications the laminated metallized film apparatus may be constructed so as to create an insulating bag, pouch, tote, insulative wrap, or radiant reflector sheeting, through use of single or multiple layer films or foams of varying thickness and texture.

  • Patent number: 7295872
Abstract: Circuitry for and method of power efficient operation of, and energy recovery from, tissue-stimulating electrodes having high charge capacities. Post-stimulation energy is recovered from the electrodes through a variety of techniques into circuit elements such as other electrodes, an intermediate distribution system, a power supply or any other elements, through the use of sequential switching. Energy is also recoverable from the intermediate distribution system, which preferably is comprised of one or more storage capacitors operating a different voltages. Efficient power transfer among circuit elements is effected by transferring energy while limiting element-element voltage differences and/or voltage differences between the elements and the capacitances of the electrodes.
