Publication number: 20250231366Abstract: A buffer tube clencher (47) elongates a buffer tube (43) in a cable manufacturing machine (41) to reduce excess fiber length (EFL). The clencher (47) includes first (49,57) and second (69,73) sets of wheels with first and second gaps (63) therebetween to guide the buffer tube (43). At least one wheel of the first set of wheels (49,57) and of the second set of wheels (69,73) is driven to cause the buffer tube (43) to elongate, and at least one wheel of the first set of wheels (49,57) and of the second set of wheels (69,73) is biased and able to move away from the other wheel against a biasing force to accommodate an imperfection in the outer surface of the buffer tube (43), such that the buffer tube (43) remains under an elongation force by at least one driven wheel even if slippage occurs as the imperfection passes by the other driven wheel of the first and second sets of wheels.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 13, 2022Publication date: July 17, 2025Inventors: Shawn Lee BURCH, Jerry Clyde MOOSE, Antony David SHACKLADY, Phillip Anthony CASH, Benjamin Clinton Burgess, Jr., Paul Melton GODWIN, Keith Douglas EARHART, Travis John CARD, Michael Van DO

Publication number: 20250060969Abstract: An example of the modular outpost pipeline can make complex branching decisions at stages along the pipeline based on attributes of the data already gathered. This allows modifications to scans in progress within the outpost-based pipeline, and near-real-time sharing of specific scan data to external tools. The logic necessary can be implemented in any outpost pipeline stage but is preferentially accomplished by using secondary orchestrator stages inserted after the pipeline stages where relevant data has been acquired.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 15, 2023Publication date: February 20, 2025Inventors: Mark Jonathan Austin, II, Asheley Shawn Lee, Kelley Arthur

Publication number: 20240385888Abstract: An application management system using Remote Procedure Call (RPC) frameworks can easily consume excessive amounts of memory or other resources. As described herein, tasks are allocated and balanced amongst engines using a small or fixed size of volatile memory. The memory used in such systems can balance tasks or jobs between different engines by allocating tasks between engine task lists. The complete details of those tasks are stored in queues in non-volatile memory. Tasks are allocated among the lists using a set of rules for new work, pinned work, work from disconnected engines, and reallocated work. The quantity of volatile memory and other resources necessary to manage the RPC framework is thereby reduced, or can even be handled within a size of volatile memory fixed by the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 18, 2023Publication date: November 21, 2024Inventors: Asheley Shawn Lee, Ryan Linn, Patrick Kelly O'Donnell

Patent number: 11307711Abstract: A method for avoiding noise in a display involves scanning a display at a sampling rate that is less than the Nyquist level sampling. After scanning the signals received at less than the Nyquist level, the measured signals are processed in order to determine where noise may be present. Subsequently, future scans are performed at a Fast Fourier Transform is performed on the results. This is used to determine at which frequencies there is noise. Subsequent scans can be taken to determine touch events that avoid locations where noise is present.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2020Date of Patent: April 19, 2022Assignee: Tactual Labs Co.Inventor: Shawn Lee
