Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating hypermedia-based graphical user interfaces for display on a mobile device. In one embodiment, the systems and methods may include at least one processor in communication with a mobile device associated with a user. When executed, instructions may configure the a processor to transmit a request to access information corresponding to a relative of the user; display within the graphical user interface of the portable user device a hypermedia icon including an image of the relative; display at least one hypermedia element corresponding to a current status of the relative with respect to the itinerary of the relative; display at least one action hypermedia element representing actions that can be executed by the user; and display a recommendation for the user based upon a remaining duration of the procedure identified from the current status of the relative with respect to the itinerary.
