The selective content presentation involves acquiring a content suppression preference for suppressing content presentation at an electronic device. Subsequently, a content portion and a content selection tag for the content portion are also received at the electronic device. When the electronic device determines based on the content selection tag that a part of content portion is designated for suppression by the content suppression preference, the part of the content portion is obstructed by the electronic device to form a modified content portion. The modified content portion is further presented to a user via the electronic device.

Abstract: Systems and methods enable users to exchange content, such as chat text, with other users that are consuming like video media. In one implementation, several users collectively group together to form a video session. The video media played during the video session may be selected by a vote of the users. The users in the video session each consume the same video media, and the video media is played on individual user computer devices in a synchronized manner. The users send chat text to one another over a network using a computer user interface. The chat text is superimposed over the synchronized video running on the individual user computer devices.

Abstract: An appliance for aiding in the removal of a hardened wax from a person's body includes a curved member defining a handle for being grasped by a user and a substantially flat spatula for positioning on a person's skin. Cavities are formed in the spatula for receiving a wax in an initially liquid state and allowing the wax to harden within the cavity so that the wax becomes attached to the appliance. The cavities can be linear grooves formed in the spatula, or holes that penetrate all the way through the spatula.
