The first injector pair are positioned on a first track and the second pair are positioned on a second track. The tubing injector provides redundancy to address safety concerns. The first injector pair is movable to the engaged position, when the second injector pair is moved to the disengaged position and vice versa.

Abstract: A tubing injector head, includes a main body adapted for mounting on a well. A pair of gripper chain supports are mounted to the main body. Each gripper chain support has an upper chain sprocket at an upper end and a lower chain sprocket at a lower end. A drive motor drives the upper chain sprocket to move a gripper chain along a bearing surface. A tubing channel is positioned between the gripper chain supports. Telescopic cylinders are provided for creating relative movement of the gripper chain supports, while maintaining the first bearing surface and the second bearing surface in parallel spaced relation. The telescopic cylinders move the gripper chains into or out of engagement with tubing positioned in the tubing channel.

A treatment carafe has a gas conduit so that off gases which accumulates in the carafe may be vented during a treatment cycle. The gas conduit conveys the off gas from the carafe to an ozone destructor via a passageway. An accumulator is provided in the passageway upstream from the destructor to hinder water entrained in the off gas from contacting and damaging the destructor.
