  • Patent number: 11188013
Abstract: An apparatus for stripping light weight and ultra-light weight media from a photoreceptor that is tacked thereto by electrostatic or vacuum force includes a set of low-tip stripper fingers configured to strip the light weight and ultra-light weight media from the photoreceptor. The low-tip stripper fingers are adjustable both in the cross process and in attack angle with respect to the photoreceptor in order to change the height at which the tip of each stripper finger is in relation to the photoreceptor and thereby prevent jams due to miss-strips. Additionally, dual stripper fingers are disclosed that support inboard and outboard edges of larger media in order to reduce dog ears and jams.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 14, 2019
Date of Patent: November 30, 2021
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation
Inventors: Rachel Lynn Tanchak, Shawn R Rowan, Erwin Ruiz, Michael L Povio, Michael N Soures, Arthur H Kahn

  • Patent number: 8197024
Abstract: An inkjet printer has been developed that reduces the effects of show-through by depositing ink onto a cooled print medium. The inkjet printer includes a printhead and a cooler. The printhead is configured to eject ink onto an ink receiving member as the ink receiving member is transported along a portion of a media path through the inkjet printer. The cooler is positioned proximate the media path to cool the ink receiving member prior to the printhead ejecting ink onto the ink receiving member.

Date of Patent: June 12, 2012
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation
Inventors: Gregory Joseph Kovacs, Bryan James Roof, Michael D. Thompson, Edward B. Caruthers, Lawrence Floyd, Jr., Shawn R. Rowan

  • Patent number: 6600895
Abstract: A printing apparatus includes a transfuse member, an intermediate transfer member and a transfer member that electrostatically transfers a toner image from the intermediate transfer member to the transfuse member. The transfer member includes at least one temperature control device that maintains the transfer member within a predefined range. A controller assembly may be connected to the at least one temperature control device for extending the electrical life of the transfer member by maintaining the transfer member at a substantially constant resistivity.
