Patent number: 11867009Abstract: A modular mobility platform has extendable and retractable tractor treads for engaging the walls of a downhole environment. The extendable and retractable tractor treads allow the platform to successfully navigate longitudinally through the downhole environment. The platform is composed of a plurality of different modules removably interconnected together longitudinally. Each module has at least one specific function, such as sensing, navigation, mobility, control, communication, power, or a combination thereof. The platform has longitudinally-directed detectors for detecting the forward or reverse direction through which the platform is to travel. A front end of the platform having a sensor at the forward end thereof articulates to navigate the mobility platform laterally through splits in the downhole environment. A system and method use the modular mobility platform.Type: GrantFiled: August 14, 2020Date of Patent: January 9, 2024Assignee: SAUDI ARABIAN OIL COMPANYInventors: Abubaker Saeed, Jeffrey Shasho, Shazad Sadick

Publication number: 20230196306Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for sourcing and processing recyclable materials. Systems and methods of the present disclosure include a user creating an account such that data is stored associating that user to a specific account. A quantifiable amount of recyclable material is recycled and identified by the system to create data about that recyclable material and associate the data with the specific user account. The user account is allocated monetary and/or non-monetary rewards to incentivize recycling. Monetary and/or non-monetary rewards can be donated to charitable organizations and/or used to purchase goods through an ecommerce interface or transferred to external financial accounts.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2022Publication date: June 22, 2023Inventors: Jonah E. Publication number: 20110296675Abstract: A structure for rapid assembly of a self-contained apparatus, such as a spacecraft or satellite, has horizontal and vertical manifolds joined at corners to form a rigid self-contained frame, side panels attached by fasteners inserted into the vertical and horizontal manifolds, and top and bottom panels attached by fasteners inserted into the horizontal manifolds. Cutout sections are provided on opposite ends of each manifold to enable electrical and/or fluid lines to extend across the corners formed by the manifolds. The vertical manifolds can have a 90-degree angle for a square or rectangular shaped spacecraft, while a 120-degree angle creates a hexagonal shaped spacecraft. A hinged vertical manifold may be used for two different angular configurations. An alternate embodiment employs quick-insertion-nut (QIN) assemblies embedded into the edges of the side panels to which the top and bottom panels are directly fastened to eliminate the use of manifolds.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 19, 2010Publication date: December 8, 2011Inventors: Roopnarine, Shazad Sadick
